RE: Music - cletus1 - 10-31-2011 I play this song once a year at this time of year to celebrate this beautiful woman and Che Guevara. [redacted] RE: Music - cletus1 - 10-31-2011 For the Numantine: RE: Music - cletus1 - 10-31-2011 For Crone, who Knows the difference between a Sikh and an Arab: Im so Cool with Arabs: English subtitles available. RE: Music - Leonard - 10-31-2011 For a change of pace here is a little Glenn Gould playing the Sonata No 14 in C-Sharp Minor Op 27 -- ''Moonlight'' -- like no one ever played it. You can hear things this technically brilliant pianist brings to the music and relish in the beauty of the masterpiece. RE: Music - BeerMe - 11-01-2011 My iPod just went Snoop Dog to Jimmy Buffett to Frank Sinatra to Metallica...... I'm so confused........ Love it! Thank you RE: Music - Willie Krash - 11-01-2011 Appropriate? The magnificent Kathy Troccoli with the Beach Boys RE: Music - tvguy - 11-01-2011 Nice thread. I've been listening to several of these songs whiles I do stuff. I got Cleter figgerd out. He likes the vids with hot chicks and he's got a thang for the foreign ones. He probably listens to them with the sound turned down and the resolution turned up Anyhoo Clete I like Mic better for sister morphine but I like Marianne better for as tears go by. It's an easy song to play I learned it 35 years ago? couldn't sing then and still can't. RE: Music - Willie Krash - 11-01-2011 Sure hope I haven't posted this, an ode to OWS, A plea from another time. Dino Valenti, 1970. From the Who do love album. You poisoned my sweet water. You cut down my green trees. The food you fed my children Was the cause of their disease. My world is slowly fallin' down And the airs not good to breathe. And those of us who care enough, We have to do something....... (Chorus) Oh.......oh What you gonna do about me? Oh.......oh What you gonna do about me? Your newspapers, They just put you on. They never tell you The whole story. They just put your Young ideas down. I was wonderin' could this be the end Of your pride and glory? (Chorus) I work in your factory. I study in your schools. I fill your penitentiaries. And your military too! And I feel the future trembling, As the word is passed around. "If you stand up for what you do believe, Be prepared to be shot down." (Chorus) And I feel like a stranger In the land where I was born And I live like an outlaw. An' I'm always on the run.......................... An Im always getting busted And I got to take a stand........ I believe the revolution Must be mighty close at hand....................... (Chorus) I smoke marijuana But I cant get behind your wars. And most of what I do believe Is against most of your laws I'm a fugitive from injustice But I'm goin' to be free. Cause your rules and regulations They dont do the thing for me (Chorus) And I feel like a stranger In the land where I was born And I live just like an outlaw. An' I'm always on the run. RE: Music - Willie Krash - 11-01-2011 My ode to Herman Cain. Turn it up...sweet. TV as tears go by....Read Keef's book..! (his sp) RE: Music - illcommandante - 11-01-2011 Charo's name came up an as answer to "Who's the greatest flamenco guitarist" on Millionaire. I thought "Cuchi-Cuchi" and Googled Charo. You should too. When I'm dropping names, I mention Roy Nichols. When she's dropping names, she mentions Segovia. RE: Music - Willie Krash - 11-01-2011 Ill I'll see you a better world. The unbelievable Ester Satterfield. RE: Music - imaham - 11-01-2011 Ah....what the heck. Just rediscovered this lady tonight. Some good stuff And no, I don't think that is Kenny G's son! RE: Music - imaham - 11-01-2011 Yep. This will remind you who she is. Moonlight Sonata is my favorite Beethoven song and that pianist does the song justice.
