I watched an old film of Woody Guthrie, when I was attending San Diego Evening High. I tried to get the film, but it disappeared, without a clue. I thought it had been lost to posterity. But, it's on the web. He's doing "Ranger's Command", from the back of a truck, in a jungle camp. I come from Rangers, and I know the code. As horrid as they were, they were the real thing. But the hero isn't a Ranger. It's a lady who rises from her bed, with a gun in each hand. To "Fight for your land". I was already "The Lone Gunman" when I saw that little clip. In 1963. This is the inspiration I have run on. And, the thinking, that I have to abandon. I will be walking bare, when the rustlers come. But, it's still inspiring. Union Maid, is another, that inspires me. Woody made sure, the ladies got recognition. And, he always had something for the kids. The world, has not changed for the better.
