Elephant Revival performing Nostalgia live.

RE: Music - cletus1 - 10-12-2014

I'm watching Sunday Morning on CBS. I try to catch this show because it provides a welcome relief from all the news shows I watch. This morning they did an interview with singer Sam Smith. I like his voice even though I am not a big fan of slow love ballads. Check him out.

If you need relief from all the news shows you watch then maybe you shouldn't watch them?Razz You could be happier but of course ignorant. And ignorance is bliss.

"Thomas Gray's poem, Ode on a Distant Prospect of Eton College (1742): "Where ignorance is bliss, 'tis folly to be wise."[1]"

Maybe the end of the quote has more meaning. Wink

Wow , what a year, too bad more young people don't look for or care about real talent.
I'm not saying there are not talented musicians today but too often I see garbage and people sucking it up as if it's actually music.

They are typical dance leotards aren't they? I did hear a little flack about the choice of leotard but more so that the lyrics of the song were inappropriate for a 11 YO to perform to.

Do you find the clown suit version I posted up-thread less disturbing?

Lyrics:
Party girls don't get hurt
Can't feel anything, when will I learn
I push it down, push it down

I'm the one "for a good time call"
Phone's blowin' up, they're ringin' my doorbell
I feel the love, feel the love

[Pre-Chorus]
1,2,3 1,2,3 drink
1,2,3 1,2,3 drink
1,2,3 1,2,3 drink

Throw 'em back, 'til I lose count

[Chorus]
I'm gonna swing from the chandelier, from the chandelier
I'm gonna live like tomorrow doesn't exist
Like it doesn't exist
I'm gonna fly like a bird through the night, feel my tears as they dry
I'm gonna swing from the chandelier, from the chandelier

But I'm holding on for dear life, won't look down won't open my eyes
Keep my glass full until morning light, 'cos I'm just holding on for tonight
Help me, I'm holding on for dear life, won't look down won't open my eyes
Keep my glass full until morning light, 'cos I'm just holding on for tonight
On for tonight

Sun is up, I'm a mess
Gotta get out now, gotta run from this
Here comes the shame, here comes the shame.... etc, etc.

I hope not but I don't really know. I do know that she appears naked in those skimpy skin tight flesh colored leotards and I don't like it and can't grasp why it's necessary.
"typical dance leotards"? You are right about that I suppose they are, kind of. Believe it or not I do watch dancing with the stars if it's recorded. And I've always liked figure skating. The 11 year old looks more nude in that video than I ever see other dancers.
I'm not artsy fartsy enough to get it. Smiling But I bet plenty of pedophiles have that video bookmarkedSad

I like the singing. I don't see much skill in the dancing at all. So I don't remember the clown one. I tried to look and your link took me to a whole page.

I think the skill in the dancing is pretty great for an 11 YO. Smiling It takes you to post #1374 that has the video I speak of. Here you go....
