Quote:A strain of so-called ‘super lice’ has hit a reported 25 states, causing concern and frustration among parents because the bugs can’t be killed with most over-the-counter treatments. The treatments, known as pyrethroids, had a 100 percent success rate in 2000 against lice but now only work in 25 percent of cases

Okay, this is REALLY OLD but can't resist.

You only have to shave ONE SIDE! Then you set fire to the hair that remains and stab the little suckers with an ice pick as they come running out.

Like I said... Wink Embarrassed

Quote:DES MOINES, Iowa -- There is a bug that hasn't quite made its way to Iowa yet -- the "super lice.”

The mutant form of head lice has been reported in 30 states, including states surrounding Iowa. The bugs are no different from the typical lice health officials know of, but they do have resistance to some over the counter treatments used to kill them.

Quote:98% Of Head Lice In 42 States Now Resistant To Common Treatments

http://dailycaller.com/2016/08/02/study-...reatments/

Quote:According to the study, “Lice were collected from 7 July 2013 to 11 May 2015 by 71 volunteers (school nurses and professional lice combers) from 138 collection sites in 48 states. Four of these states (AZ, CA, FL, and TX) had collection sites that had been sampled twice before (1999–2006 and 2006–2008) and an additional eight states (OH, MA, MI, MN, NY, SC, TN, and WI) had been sampled only once before (2007– 2009), allowing the determination of kdr-type mutation frequency changes in those locations over time.
