Drink Up Weed Users

This is an interesting article that might help someone you know. This reads like some stuff that the epilepsy foundation has written as well. Chuck could learn a few things for this as well.

So in the past 2 weeks the dea and fda won't reschedule marijuana, and the 9th circuit court of appeals says it won't let federal courts prosecute legitimate medical marijuana growers and users. That doesn't mean you still can't be raided and lose everything in asset forfeiture, you just won't get prosecuted at the federal level.

The link is to the Applegater Newspaper. This issue has a very pro marijuana article if you care to read it.

Here is another article about the requirement keep marijuana gardens out of public view. It is a interesting look at a new industry and the Prohibitionist views that linger.

The worst part about the requirement to keep marijuana gardens out of public view. Is the fact that so many people put up ugly ass barriers with cloth mesh hanging all over that looks like some third world shit hole.

I've always thought they were cool looking plants. Maybe people should plant them decoratively like they do sunflowers.  Big Grin

Except  there's no law that says you have to hide your sunflowers.
But yeah I always thought they were cool plants also.

Those barriers do make it easier to spot the grows from a distance.   Wink

It's the DEA that fights to keep it a schedule 1 drug. It doesn't much matter which party had the majority when marijuana was first classified as a schedule 1 narcotic. The bureaucracy of the DEA is self serving. The more substances they can keep illegal, the better it is for that federal agency and to hell with science. The DEA will never go away, but if you want to keep playing the blame game, Nixon established that agency.

Good thing those prison workers have those unions to protect them, and hand out wads of cash to keep pot illegal.

All he did was merge two different drug enforcement agencies into one.

That's true and he gave the new agency more money and responsibilities. The DEA now acts like an international law enforcement agency. They meddle in the politics of other countries and push their anti marijuana agenda on every other country. Only wealthy countries can afford to tell them to mind their own business. Poor countries do what the DEA wants or risks losing foreign aid.
