Somebody famous should have said that.   Wink

Maybe you will become famous and then someone famous will have.

Big Grin   It will be a looooong wait.  Don't think I want to be famous anyway. I'd have to dress better for one thing.

I was going to post a photo of a famous person that is a challenged dresser. I think you get the point without the photo.  Smiling

The guy is a moslem convert, his girlfriend is a moslem, and they both are following the soros funded obozo approved and delivered narrative of bad whitey. Wonder when the idiot will realize he handles pig skin for a living.

Nessa Diab is kind of hot. I might change gods for her. It would be easy enough for me to do.  Big Grin

And it's not like she is a Hajib wearing fundamentalist Muslim. She is an M-TV star fer Chrissakes.

Kaepernick is a special kind of stupid........

Talks about oppression while wearing a Castro shirt.   Embarrassed Razz

And let's not overlook the Malcolm X hat.  Malcolm X stood for bigotry, racism, sexism, separatism, socialism, and hate.

I am certainly not going to defend Kaepernick's mental acuity. My reason for starting this conversation was the American flag and the pledge of allegiance to it.

The conversation has shifted so I will too. You do realize that Malcolm X renounced his earlier association with the more racist Nation of Islam and they assassinated him for doing so right?

I would guess that Kaepernick now has more notoriety then he wants. Too bad a smarter white boy didn't refuse to stand during the pledge. That would have left race out of the issue.

He doesn't have to stand, it's America. He's using his first amendment right to protest.
No big deal..
Is this a great country or what and those that take umbrage at his actions must question their ideals of what America stands for...i.e their patriotism comes into question.

In America she doesn't have to wear one to be a fundamentalist, but send her to moslem country and....

But no one is legally bound so how does that comment make any sense?

If you take it literally, but what I got out of the comment is that the pressure to pledge could easily be turned into a requirement to pledge like it was in 1942. It would become more than meaningless IMO, it would become oppressive like in the book 1984.

SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick sat during the national anthem in each of the team's three preseason games and said he plans to continue to do so until he sees real change when it comes to racial oppression in the United States.

"Yes, I'll continue to sit," Kaepernick said. "I'm going to continue to stand with the people that are being oppressed. To me this is something that has to change. When there's significant change and I feel like that flag represents what it's supposed to represent, this country is representing people the way that it's supposed to, I'll stand."
Is this a great country, or what!

Sit if you want Kaepernick. You live in a country that gives you the freedom to do just that. You can even burn it should you want to do that...legally. That's the real freedom this flag represents!

Our flag is, after all, only a symbol of our historical achievement in the founding of a demoncracy independent of a monarch who we had to fight twice to ensure our right to govern ourselves.

That said, ths symbol has been defended with the blood of the many who responded to the need to defend our shores from fascists and threats of imperialism. Hitler and Tojo were not just bad jokes.

So, I'd suggest Mr. Kaepenick that you do more than this easy and simple gesture if you feel so strongly, and stop playing a boys game for big bucks and go out into the places in our country where you feel you might make a differnce and work "in the fields of the Lord".

Talk is cheap. Your "demonstration" proves how shallow and ignorant you are.

And still...your have to right to not stand and honor this symbol so many of us revere.

Again...is this a great country, or what!

You tried to sound open minded about the issue, but of course you are not. The highlighted part of your post says it all. And most open minded freedom loving Americans think just like you. Ha!

I just thought about the Jehovah Witnesses that don't pledge to the flag and wonder how lovers of religious freedom square that.

Flag worship is ass backwards mutated kind of patriotism that I never understood.

I don't know about shallow but  Kaepernick ...is ignorant. He said Hillary   has called black kids, or black teens  Super-predators.
She was talking about gangs and not just any old black person, kid or a teen.

That kind of crap taken out of context is ignorant. Trump used the same bullshit against Hillary.
But with Trump he knew what she was really saying. He's just a dishonest fuck and doesn't care.

Kaepernick is a clown IMO. So is anyone else who wants to act as if blacks have it as bad as the past.
So is anyone who makes excuses for them. So are those our prisons are stuffed fool of blacks because white cops hate them. People who refuse to admit there is still racism are also clowns. I've looked at clowns from both sides now Razz

Right now what Kaepernick is doing is likely to increase violence toward our police.
