Palin to Obama: "Stop lecturing, start listening."

Postby publius » Sat Feb 06, 2010 8:12 pm

You know, that line is one that, in the proper context, is good advice. This isn't it.

#1: The Tea Bag leaders themselves have gone on record as saying that they are still in the process of sorting out what, exactly, they stand for. Until that gets squared away, how can the president or any president listen to what would just be a jumble of mixed messages?

#2: Sarah Palin giving Barack Obama advice on this, or just about anything, is akin to me giving Peyton Manning advice on how to be a better quarterback.

I hope somebody puts a transcript of Palin’s speech on line soon because there were some real gems in it.

People around the world who want to rise up against their dictator government ask where Alaska is now.

The Louisiana purchase is part of the stimulus plan.

If you can’t ride two horses at the same time, you shouldn’t be in the circus.

Palin? Retard double standard?
It's cool for El RushBo?

Point is that we, all of us do politics by distraction. Real issues take a back seat to talking points.

I really do hope that the GOP nominates Sweetheart Sarah in 2012. It'll be the end of them.

For those that watched this President take questions from the GOP at their luncheon one heard verbatim talking points from most. Now talking points are just that. It wasn't pretty for the GOP. Their inability to understand the weakness of a platform based on talking points speaks volumes. What you OO suggest may become a reality and the GOP recent performance in the face of real policy issues does not suggest otherwise. As an employee of Fox she with Rove behind her could run a good campaign on the cheap, compromised of talking points.
Now can the Democratic party deal with such? Trouble is when you have no back bone you are always looking down. Walking bent over so to speak.

Yeah , sure , keep thinking about that and avoid anything concerning the ME within the next year. I'm not really crazy OO. I take the stand I do because I know what a good bet a global collapse is. The system wasn't built to withstand the kinds of pressures arising and such. Just think about consumer confidence after one isolated nuclear strike. Aminajabadaddy knows exactly what he is doing. He has been successful enough for Assad to stick his neck out. 8-) Setting aside all of the "supernatural apocalyptic rhetoric" We wont be seeing any real global stability until the whole ME is brought under one power. And more to the point , Lebanon , Syria , Jordan and Israel as well as Egypt uniting in a big way. DC politicians are simply biding their time until martial law goes into effect.

I thought the pic of her reading her cheat notes off the palm of her hand was pretty cool.

Well TM do ya think the right has put themselves into a position of never using teleprompters? Writing on your hand well that's a way I guess. Come to think of it they and the guys at Fox are not wearing their American flag lapel pins.

If you shake hands with Palin you can read her speech backwards?

Yeah, kind of like a friend of mine that is a sniper. Flip open the rear scope cover an he has his cheat sheet glued inside of it.

Sarah could be a shoo-in for the presidency.
Big doners would be promised a night in the Lincoln bedroom. Where Sarah might be sleeping. Or not.
Smaller doners would get 8X10 glossy's of Sarah in her cheer leaders outfit. Kicking high.
Opponents would get screwed. By her policies.

This coming from a gal who's guy can't even talk to a classroom of 6th graders without a teleprompter.

And God forbid the teleprompter crap out:

His teleprompter is so sick of him that it even tried to commit suicide

RWB.....
The fact that you feel the need to convince us that somehow Obama is as bad of a speaker as Palin illustrates whats what a clueless tool you really are.

Over and over I have heard Obama's opponents talk about how good Obama is when giving speeches and although they don't agree with his policies they admit he is a great orator.

And here is RWB acting like a child because someone dared to criticize Palin.

The ME in one power. This means the tooth fairy can be real. I can have full teeth at 90!

todd:
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/shannyn-m ... 52389.html
"When you have your cake and eat it too...well, it's bound to get frosting on your face. Then everyone else can see it. Grab a napkin...I'll explain.

During the Troopergate investigations, the abuse of power charges against Todd Palin for pressuring others to fire Commissioner Walt Monegan were hard to pin down. Why? Because he wasn't under the same ethics laws as an employee of the state.

In the Troopergate case, Petumenos reported that Palin's staff may have been involved in a campaign against Palin's former brother-in-law, State Trooper Mike Wooten, who Sarah Palin and her husband, Todd, had at various times tried to have fired.

Petumenos concluded that when Todd Palin took actions such as calling Monegan into the governor's office and pressuring him to fire Wooten, he was a not a state employee and was not covered by the laws relating to state employees.

"Mr. Palin was a private citizen not within the jurisdiction of the Ethics Act," Petumenos concluded.

MSNBC posted 1,200 emails obtained through a records request with the State of Alaska. The level of involvement of Todd Palin is higher than most of us who called him the "Shadow Governor" thought.

Nearly 3,000 pages of e-mails that Todd Palin exchanged with state officials, which were released to msnbc.com and NBC News by the state of Alaska under its public records law, draw a picture of a Palin administration where the governor's husband got involved in a judicial appointment, monitored contract negotiations with public employee unions, received background checks on a corporate CEO, added his approval or disapproval to state board appointments and passed financial information marked "confidential" from his oil company employer to a state attorney.

The Palin family attorney came out with a response to the allegations of Todd Palin's controlling presence in the administration.

But Sarah Palin's attorney, Thomas Van Flein, issued a statement saying Todd Palin had official and unofficial duties.

"Todd Palin was, and remains, a close advisor to the governor," Van Flein said. "Those in the administration knew this, and the public knew this. There is nothing unusual, untoward or inappropriate for a spouse of a chief executive to provide guidance, input and hands on assistance."

Van Flein also noted that Todd Palin had no designated office, received no pay, and had no staff. But the e-mails show that he was still a decision-maker for the state during his stint as "First Dude."

Well, isn't that interesting. He's nothing, a nobody, a "husband" when there's an investigation into abuse of power. His newly revealed emails demonstrate a clear and unambiguous over-reach...but he's just an unpaid adviser...

Which one is it?"

First dude rocks!
