I am super impressed with it, I never expect much by way of HF quality, but from time to time I get pleasantly surprised. I love this little thing and the build quality feels great to me. I Plan on buying a few for Christmas gifts.

I have this . I've been carrying it for years. It's 56 bucks and has the same lumans (125)  as that Harbor freight unit LOL.
I used to by the small mag lights and I would always carry one in my tool pouch. But the constantly quit working for one reason or another and I would just buy another until I finally got sick of buying them.
So I spent 60 bucks or so at Sportsmans whorehouse.
They last forever and somehow the batteries last a LOT longer.

Anyway I get the coupons with the Medford mail tribune... For 4 bucks the next time I'm there I'll get one LOL.

I agree, MagLites used to be good, and were great by comparison to other options when they came out, but their quality tanked. I finally gave up on them. They usually just quit working, or quit working well, for no reason, plus they eat batteries like nothing. They are bright on the first day of new batteries, by day 2 already noticeably dimmer. I can't even think of how many I must of purchased since the 80's. I have one that remains operational, sitting unused in my tool box, I won't ever buy another, with so many better options these days.

Same here. I have a few for power outage emergency. They've been in a box for about 15 years cause the power hasn't been out for more then a couple hours at a time.

We have a bag of tea lite candles kicking around the house somewhere for that purpose, but unless it was really an extended outage, we don't even use them for that now, with today's LED emergency lights, LED flashlights, LED lanterns, we have yet to have an outage that outlasted our LED lighting.

Not only are the LEDS better I bet they are cheaper than paying for wax to burn.

I have a few of these things. You can get one free if you buy something at Harbor freight. I usually buy work gloves and get one.

Exactly. I ended up with 4 or 5 of them. I gave a friend two of them and my grand kid one.

It is actually worth signing up On the website for their email coupons. Bigger variety and more often than newspaper inserts. I keep a junker email address for stuff like that, check it every few days.

OK I guess I could try that Smiling . I always get the 20% off coupon and occasionally a 25% one. I probably only go to HF every couple of months at the most.

RE: Craigslist funny stuff - GPnative - 11-07-2018

This was for sale in GP last week for $200. A rattle can of black paint and a week later, relisted for $750.

The rise of full time flippers with cell phones has sure changed the landscape of buying and selling, not that I have a problem with it, hell, I've done it myself, but sometimes it does annoy me when you always have to compete with the full time flippers. Makes it harder and harder to find a good deal on a used item when it's something you legit want/need. Sometimes I miss the days when all there was for classifieds was the nickel ad.

With or without flippers I think the seller who asked 200 was way under priced and getting  calls within minutes.
I think $750 is still a pretty good price.

Yes a LOT of people do that now, unbelievable. Either they use there thumb or they cut off the bottom of the car.
Or they show half of the back or front so as not to show the plate.

Yes, I agree, I just mean it is harder and harder to score deals like that. I think the professional flipper folks literally spend all day refreshing their phones waiting to snatch up the deals. I don't shop CL as a flipper, I just like finding a good deal on something I may need or want and those seem to be getting more and more elusive.

I guess so. I look at CL several times a day. The way I search I look at whatever was posted last. It seems to me that just about anything I want I can find for a very good deal... IF I'm patient and wait.

I wanted a conversion van and there aren't really that many around that are nice and with fairly low mileage.
Anyway I bought one for $2100 with 150 K 1995 Dodge that was pretty nice but the captains seat drivers side was worn out from the fat owner.
I kept trying to find one with no luck. So I put it on CL for $3500 firm and sold it the next day.

So a few weeks later I found a 1997 dodge conversion van with 82 K miles and I paid 1900. Laughing
So since then I have been looking for a back seat for it that folds in to a bed. It took a couple of months and one showed up out of a Ford for $200.
He said he would take $150 over the phone. When I arrived it was a business and there was a ton of free stuff that someone had been storing that they just wanted to get rid of.
Among all the stuff was a nice RV cover I've already sold for $75.
And there is PLENTY of other stuff I will sell so the seat will be free.

BTW Incredibly the Bed/seat out of the Ford fit my Dodge perfectly. It's in perfect shape and even motorized. Big Grin

RE: Craigslist funny stuff - tvguy - 11-08-2018

I've seen this stuff on CL for a very long time. So just for fun I look on ebay and you can buy the same crap for 43 bucks.. And under SOLD... Nothing. no one even buys it when it's dirt cheap.
