Thanks I figured as much. And he calls others "idoits"? I'm beyond pity for this sad sack of a man in deep depression and looking for someone to blame for it. I think I might do myself a favor and put him on my ignore list like his inbred cousins OL and SFlib. RE: Record Breaking Weather - Valuesize - 09-05-2016 Why are you guys 20 degrees hotter than us up here? It's usually a difference like 7-10 degrees. We may see 80 on Fri. but 70-72 the rest of the week is way lower than normal. RE: Record Breaking Weather - bbqboy - 09-06-2016 On the plus side, fracking has given us earthquakes in Oklahoma. Good times. The Sooner state now has more earthquakes Than our neighbor to the South. It showed the predicted temps for everywhere in the USA in colors red for hotter than normal orange for average The only places that showed predicted LOWER than normal temps was the Pacific northwest and it was green. Maybe you are in that area more so than So Oregon. RE: Record Breaking Weather - chuck white - 09-16-2016 Quote: last month ranked as the hottest August on record, according to NASA data released Monday. Not only that, but the month tied July as the hottest month the world has seen in the last 136 years. A relatively rapid loss of sea ice in the first ten days of September has pushed the ice extent to a statistical tie with 2007 for the second lowest in the satellite record. September’s low extent followed a summer characterized by conditions generally unfavorable for sea ice loss. http://nsidc.org/arcticseaicenews/ So much for you Meme RE: Record Breaking Weather - Wonky3 - 09-17-2016 (09-16-2016, 07:16 PM)chuck white Wrote:Quote:Arctic sea ice appears to have reached its seasonal minimum extent for 2016 on September 10. (Wonder why meme is capitalized?) Whatever, not all that important, just happened to notice it. At any rate: I'd like to suggest you consider a slightly different tack. Reporting this stuff is a bit redundant since most of us have access to news and pay at least some attention to Arctic ice melting, etc. So, how about posting your views concerning the importance of science either doing everything possible to stop global warming, OR, applying the skills of that profession to learning ways mankind can live and survive in with the coming changes. I guess you could argue both points, but might be more interesting to see you take on arguing one position. Want to give it a shot? (For whatever it proves...nothing, no doubt...I come down on the side of science working overtime trying to figure out how we are going to live with more heat and all the other effects of what we call global warming. But that's just me. Maybe you have a different take on it) RE: Record Breaking Weather - Cuzz - 09-17-2016 Oh good lord, not again.
