Got to see these guys play at the Rogue Theatre a couple of weeks ago. They are playing at Dave Matthews Labor Day Festival up at The Gorge. GREAT live show.

Listening to my iPod at work right now so I can't you tube the video. I think I have a new #2 Ray Charles song (#1 is Seven Spanish Angels). The new #2 is a duet with Norah Jones and is "Here We Go Again". Two amazingly talented vocalists.

I like "Idol", and I don't think that kind of support for music, hurts the sport. But, when I see money raised for the arts, if they get lucky, we get opera (In Italian!), or a visit from a group who were wise to settle with the classics, and avoid the continual learning thing. We get the music that the Jones listen to, to prove they can keep up, with the Jones. We get costume and pomp. I know an heiress with a degree in vocals. But, she can't. In spite of her credentials. Because, she chokes. Well, Barbara Streisand has trouble, too. But, someone in the field of musical education has certified that a person who can't sing, can. I don't think music is a team sport, but I do like small combos. What bothers me, is that The Marching Band gets the big money in the music dept. But then, sports gets the money in the education department. For sure, no Non Profit, should be in the music business.

When you're getting older, but you're mind is not, OMG, then the noise sounds like music again. Smiling

His hands were ripped right from the limbs, t'was dagon
His head was broke off his torso, this false god
You'll find that great destruction comes from Gods hand
As it will across the earth, deniers beware

Cut into pieces
[ Lyrics from: http://www.lyricsmode.com/lyrics/v/vengeance_rising/cut_into_pieces.html ]
In the days, when there was no king in Israel
All did that which was right in their own eyes
Sex offence, and murder, they cared not for God
Said, strike them down for this, it is coming again

Cut into pieces

Levite took the knife and sliced her up
Because of the sin that had been in Gibeah
Immoral man in sex, outside God's will which
God gave for man in marriage, not to be profaned

Cut into pieces

Warn the world, The Master comes, be aware
Separate now yourself unto him
Or you will be found in the left of judgement
Consecration in the son, or eternal hell

Cut In Two Pieces

Music from a simpler time. I hope this song will bring back happy memories to you all.... Happy Sunday! Wink

RE: Music - Wonky - 09-25-2011

I'm not a huge Neil Diamond fan, but...
This is from "Traproot Manuscript". Diamond, a Brooklyn boy, went south looking for rock and roll/blues origins. (He wrote "Brother Loves Travelin' Salvation Show" while there. He also wrote "She's so Sweet Horsefly's keep gatherin' 'round her face" there). Not content, he went to Africa to continue the search. This song is from that experience. I have always liked it, and am not sure why.
