I never bowed to any guitarist. I do now. Ledward Kaapana.

I figure I can get four grand out of my guitars. And the yard sale Lyle ukulele, only cost me twenty. So, it looks like the war chest will get fatter. And, I may actually end up a bluegrass ukulele player. I always stayed away from bluegrass, but now it looks like my option. How I never saw the possibilities is a mystery to me. If I'd been more aware of my world, I'd be sitting in Hawaii. Playing slack key guitar with The Hawaiian Legends (The greatest country and western band, of all time). I was born for it. And, it got past me. I didn't even know it was there. But now(That I'm circling the drain), I have this sweet little ukulele.

Remembering Janice, who started this thread.

What a delightful and pleasant lady! She is missed. Living in Portland close to some really fine coffee shops, last I heard.

I hope she is well, and happy.

One more song from John Prine.

I'm not "selling" John Prine. I think he is a great troubadour, but there have been many others.

I post this for a curious reason. Included in the lyric is a line, "We lost Davy in the Korean war And I still don't know what for, don't matter anymore..."

I read (someplace) that it is the only song with any reference to the Korean War. The "Forgotten War".
I wonder?

An interesting bit of trivia.
