I'm not sure with Charter....I do rent the box for 2.  I think you don't have to rent the boxes with a newer TV. ?

I don't know but with direct TV you do need a box for each one.
I'm fairly sure....fairly that if you have a newer model TV  you don't need one for Charter.

I think you do if you want DVR capabilities.

Yeah that makes sense.

I saw a black guy on Judge Millian the other day describing the old TV's as "big butt" TV's Laughing

Not sure if anyone else would care for it, but I enjoyed The Crown on streaming Netflix, about Elizabeth the ll's first years on the throne.

No throne jokes here. Mrs. Wonky and I are enjoying it lot.

I really enjoy the "package" concept that online streaming services provide rather than the once a week model of broadcast TV. It's fun to sometimes binge watch shows like this.

An Aside: Strange that John Lithgow was chosen to play Winston. Does an okay job I guess, but would have seemed more "natural" to choose and actor who did not have to sturggle with the accent.

Not sure who "more natural" would be.  Timothy Spall play Churchill in the Kings Speech. He's British; everyone has to work the accent for Churchill a bit....some say he had an impediment that lent his speech a particular style. That seems to be a bit disputed.  Lithgow just seems so TALL in it.

Absolutely not!

RE: Watched on Netflix (or other streaming channels) - Juniper - 11-11-2016

What's frustrating is that I'm pretty picky. If I find something I like, I watch it usually in a binge and then have nothing to take it's place. Sad

I'll watch it if Elizabeth  ll  as good as Rocky ll or Jaws ll

We're watching 'The Martian' right now.

I really enjoyed the movie. Great visuals and I thought they did good job of presenting a Mars-like set. (Done, I read, mostly in Jordon)

But I think I enjoyed the book (Andy Weir) even more. Sometimes hard to beat the "theater of the mind". (Or is that a term from radio...whatever)

I'm in the mood to go out and see a good movie and pay a fortune for some popcorn. Anyone see anything at the Movies recently that was good?

The last three we saw at a theater:
1. Zootopia in 3D
2. Secret Life of Pets
3. Finding Dory in 3D

Who buys popcorn!?  What a rip! I am a firm believer that some movies are meant to be seen in the medium they were meant for....the BIG SCREEN.  That being said, I don't think I've seen one this year that meets the bill. The last two movies I saw that I really liked were Love and Mercy, Room, and the Walk, and yeah, you gotta see The Revenant on the big screen , because it's pointless not to.

RE: Watched on Netflix (or other streaming channels) - Scrapper - 11-14-2016

We just watched 'The Intern' with Robert De Niro and Anne Hathaway.  I liked it... but I like Robert De Niro!  Hubba Hubba!  Eyebrows

I agree that The Revenant would be a lot more enjoyable viewed on the big screen, unfortunately, it isn't playing locally in theaters any longer. I waited to long again.

I think I will go see The Arrival. I still enjoy good sci fi movies and this one looks interesting from the trailer I watched.
