But the air is a lot better.  At noon it was 114... unhealthy for sensitive groups... and apparently they mean you LOL

185 now. Same thing as you....I can't see Roxy Ann now.  I don't dare go outside right now. I hope they get it out and things improve.

Are you getting the 185 from a different Source than the link I'm using because the last two readings I have are 178

I'm getting 265 now from here: https://oraqi.deq.state.or.us/home/map?fbclid=IwAR1iqPwmsoV_Pvjav6MLZLFPmcxBmgSvWdAMZE3g4xzmcNDn6vFkEfyaXOM

185 from https://airnow.gov/index.cfm?action=airnow.local_city&zipcode=97504&submit=Go
I don't think the 185 ones right

So you think the 265 is?  Now it's 216.

I don't see how this can be right. Unless somehow there is a huge difference in Medford and where I live.

The air has been THICK with smoke here since 4 oclock

Very thick here. I doubt it's that good.

Yup, we just came through central point and it was death level thick, needed headlights on freeway. Because i think everything is always a lie, i think they mask readings when it goes to death level hazard for all. The readings never jive with whats going on or just happen to go down or off line when the air is so thick you need a machete to get through it.

This is usually correct. But for at least the salt 2 hours my air is "very unhealthy. That's according to my nose and eyes and the how far can one see method.
If you can't see farther than 3 miles the air is "unhealthy" I can't see Table rock at all and it 1.8 miles away

RE: Medfords air quality just went to hell - chuck white - 07-28-2019

I drove into Grants Pass yesterday. Did some shopping and came home. I developed a headache, very unusual for me.

Somewhere, along the line, I went from being rather hardy, to being in the 'sensitive groups' category. I get symptoms within minutes.  I wear a mask. I stay inside. Something I never did before last year.  Last night I could feel it and the symptoms even inside the house.

My wife is the same. But she doesn't wear a mask in the house.

I get kind of a dull mild one. Cigarette smoke does the same.

The mountain i use to gauge severity, base of which is probably 1/2 mile away, give/take, has not been visible all day. One of the worst days ive seen, including last summers fires from hell.

I think my parents are planning on flying home from Laughlin today... they're gonna hate all the smoke. Pretty sure they would rather have Laughlin at 118° than GP smoked in.

Excuse me... 116°... but, hey... it cools down to a wonderfully comfortable 87° at night. LOL[Image: 8b633239a6041c30ccf230996926f71c.jpg]
