Trump is that stupid. after all he knows all the best people. Maybe Jarred can fill the position. Laughing

my guess is, he would welcome it and he wouldn't have to be around all those careless people.  The whole pandemic team is going to get infected.
Trump and Moscow Mitch, seem to be  more concerned with the economy then the pandemic.
Why not mass testing first, stock market later.

I think the checks will be $1200 or 2400 for a couple. Interesting. I guess I will be getting one and I don't need it at all. Confused

I will likely donate mine to folks i know who need it more than I.
I don't think I'm that nice of a guy Laughing But maybe I will figure out how to help people in other ways.

RE: Corona virus - chuck white - 03-23-2020

43,906 cases in the US. Good thing we aren't mass testing or the numbers would be higher.

On FB I just learned that it's actually an order from Brown that people who work in construction. Which is still happening because it's considered to be essential.
Must stay 6 feet apart. How in the hell is that even possible on a building site with several different trades?
The same is true with restaurants. Even been in those kitchens?

We are at just 384,000 just under 7 weeks later
and 16,500 deaths (world wide)

US has 46,000 case and 586 death, think where we could be in 7 more weeks

You need to read the whole story, and determine what is missing.

Let's look at the part that article's writer (William Feuer) so conveniently left out or was unable to comprehend.

Here is all the original CDC report actually said about the surfaces:

"SARS-CoV-2 RNA was identified on a variety of surfaces in cabins of both symptomatic and asymptomatic infected passengers up to 17 days after cabins were vacated on the Diamond Princess but before disinfection procedures had been conducted (Takuya Yamagishi, National Institute of Infectious Diseases, personal communication, 2020). Although these data cannot be used to determine whether transmission occurred from contaminated surfaces, further study of fomite transmission of SARS-CoV-2 aboard cruise ships is warranted."

From a doctor, Dr. Tara C. Smith Professor, infectious disease epidemiologist :

I've also seen this misrepresented already. "SARS-CoV-2 RNA was identified on a variety of surfaces in cabins of both symptomatic & asymptomatic infected passengers up to 17 days after cabins were vacated on the DP but before disinfection procedures had been conducted. Viral RNA doesn't necessarily mean live virus was present. Now, you're going to see "coronavirus can live on surfaces for 17 days! posted over and over, but we don't know that based on this study and for those using live virus, it's much shorter."
]

From another epidemiologist:

Again, there is a big difference between detecting traces of a virus after 17 days and finding it remains transmissible after 17 days, and the cramped, indoors quarantine conditions on the Diamond Princess likely contributed the detection of viral traces.

In other words, there is zero evidence from any reliable source that the virus can live longer than 3 days on a hard surface and only a few hours in air, which we've all been aware of since mid January. The primary means of transmission is and always has been person to person or close contact with someone already infected.

On Tuesday morning, the nation’s leading infectious diseases expert, Dr. Anthony Fauci, was interviewed on the radio, and slammed the media for trying to create a rift between him and President Trump, asserting, “I would wish that that would stop because we have a much bigger problem here than trying to point out differences … When I have made recommendations he’s taken them; he’s never countered or overridden me; the idea of pitting one against the other is just not helpful. I wish that would stop and we’d look ahead at the challenge we have to pull together to get over this thing.”
