Posting of Advertisements or promotions

Kam,

Can you provide some clarity on this? You state under terms of service:

Quote:Posting or transmitting unauthorized or unsolicited advertising and promotional materials is strictly prohibited.

So if I want to advertise a charity car wash, or bake sale?
How about an event that charges admission like a race?

As long as it's not spam.
Posting an upcoming event, is of interest to our local community.
Go for it.
If it's controversial, the usual crowd will respond.

I believe perhaps BZ, Larry and OL may have posted about fundraisers/benefits in the past. I don't think anyone had a problem with it.

Correct, if it has local relevance it's usually fine. It's mostly to stop drive-by spam.

You wanting us to know how often your Jehova's Witness group meets or something? It might not be of very widespread interest. Smiling

Like I said
"Go for it.

If you can't take the bitching later, than you best not post anything at all.
