Well, CPig, he's my president too, so I hope he presides over the office with more grace and eloquence than during his time as a candidate and as president elect.
It was reported that after the ceremony a reporter asked president G.W. Bush what he thought of president Trump's speech and Mr. Bush replied, "Good to see you again" and continued walking. . I miss W more than I ever suspected I would.

A new day, a new lie.
I have seen little of the events today, but may be able to catch up on this tomorrow or Sunday. Did I hear him say there were record breaking crowds for the inauguration and parade?
https://www.washingtonpost.com/graphics/...omparison/
I've seen bigger parade crowds in Grants Pass. But who is counting? Trump and his ego.

We shall see what happens. G.B. is a class act on how a ex-president should act. Bill Clinton could use a lesson or two. Obama let's see how he does. Any predictions on his mouth?? The left has endless predictions of what Trump will do. I would think the same future reading skills would apply to Obama here. I am happy to see Obama go, but every president has their pluses and minuses and there is some pluses.

And Wonky "The Arrogant" Hall Monitor is back!!! CP commented on something you ACTUALLY DID bring up, and it's not good enough for you because it's not the part of your own comment that you WANTED anyone to comment on? So you chastise and subtlety demean.... Pure Wonkiness.

"Spoken like a true leftist"?
I didn't "go off topic". I pointed out it was an aside, and my comment was specifc to his "new day" saying "
I hope he presides over the office with more grace and eloquence than during his time as a candidate and as president elect"
Yes, I take responsbility for things I say. I often struggle for clarity and sometimes lack vocabulary to be concise, but I doubt that I'm a glaring exception here.
And, I'm wondering, exactly what does "spoken like a true leftist" mean?

And, I'm wondering, exactly what does "spoken like a true leftist" mean? Good morning, my shop is warm now and I am switching to more worthwhile things. I posted a whole bunch of info on regulation for you to take a look at. Take a look at that and let's talk. I need to take that old seat to the seat you see almost finished ( my one I did a few days ago) and install in the 68 along with the rest of the interior. I will check in later, have a wonderful sparkly day....

I'm continually amazed that two people (or more) can read the same words and get two (or more) distinctly different meanings out of them. Is it the fault of the writer, the reader(s) or the language? It's really kind of interesting. I just don't have time right now to dwell on it.
Probably fortunate.

All three.
Writen language reqires a bit more precision and clarity than spoken conversation.
Too often we assume others understand our meanings.
Sometimes emoticons help. Sometimes not.

Thank you sir. I enjoy doing everything my self " bragging rights" but I am horribly slow. ( this forum makes things worse as it can be distracting) This one I found under and old oak tree in GP. Only thing I didn't do we the the final prep for paint and the shooting and cut and buff. I did lots of metal work, complete new front and rear suspension, big brakes, custom ls engine, fuel injection, etc etc etc I did get the seats done in the shop despite taking the time to b.s. here.

Nothing wrong with being slow if you are working on something you enjoy doing.
Hope to see you showing that thing off at the back to the 50's car cruise this year.
