My brother was basically forced by his daughter to get an Iphone and get rid of his android. He is 83 and now has to relearn how to use it.

I don't see what makes them any better. Especially for him.

Shit, at 83 shouldn't he have a jitterbug? Wink
At his age he probably used to dance the jitterbug Razz

Anyway I don't know anything about a Jitterbug phone . Are they easy to use or something?

Yes, a no frills, basic phone with big easy to use buttons.

OK well he's 83 not a nit wit LOL, There's nothing wrong with his eyes. He knows how to take and post pics on FB

I'm always concerned when hundreds of people die for no real reason. And in this case they don't know how much the Ebola has spread or where it's going. Why wouldn't I be concerned at least a little?

Funny I didn't even look and see it was you that posted. I just assumed it was CW because it always has been LOL.
Other that when Wonky was trolling CW and mocking every single post CW made on this subject .
Anyway we all should be concerned when hundreds of people die for no real reason. I was meaning to ask CW why it's important to him to update us here? I don't have a problem with it Like Wonky I just suddenly wondered.

Quote: Ebola cases and deaths in eastern Congo have risen sharply in the past week, authorities said Tuesday, placing the blame on recurrent attacks on treatment centers and health workers.
There were 126 new cases and 83 deaths between April 22 and April 28, according to the Ministry of Health in Kinshasa.
The number of fatalities has risen rapidly, from around 600 at the end of March to over 900 a month later.
“As soon as there is a security incident, such as the destruction of the Ebola treatment centers or the murder of our colleague (from the World Health Organization), the main response activities are suspended for an indefinite period,” ministry spokeswoman Jessica Ilunga told dpa.
“Without these activities, the virus continues to spread and kill more people in the community,” she added.
So far there have been 1,480 cases and 970 deaths, since the outbreak — the second-largest in history — began last year.

Quote:The death toll in the Democratic Republic of Congo's latest Ebola outbreak has risen to more than 1,000, according to the country's health ministry, with a volatile security situation and deep community distrust complicating efforts to beat back the nine-month-old epidemic.

The Ministry of Public Health said in its latest update on Friday that 14 new deaths from the virus were recorded, taking the toll to 1,008 deaths from more than 1,450 confirmed cases registered since the epidemic erupted in August.

Quote:The deadly Ebola outbreak in Congo is now an international health emergency, the World Health Organization announced Wednesday after the virus spread this week to a city of 2 million people . A WHO expert committee declined on three previous occasions to advise the United Nations health agency to make the declaration for this outbreak, even though other experts say it has long met the conditions. More than 1,600 people have died since August in the second-deadliest Ebola outbreak in history

Quote:Ebola may soon be a "preventable and treatable" disease after a trial of two drugs showed significantly improved survival rates, scientists have said.
Four drugs were trialled on patients in the Democratic Republic of Congo, where there is a major outbreak of the virus.
Two of those were considerably more effective in treating the disease, the study found.
The drugs will now be used to treat all Ebola patients in DR Congo, according to health officials.
The US National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), which co-sponsored the trial, said the results are "very good news" for the fight against Ebola.

Laughing Laughing   OK, Point taken.  But, yeah, if wanted to channel Wonky...well, let's just say I'd have to do a few warm ups, and crack my fingers and neck, wipe the lenses of my glasses and such, so as to really dig in.
