Actually naming has has a tradition including changing names. It usually has to do with an event the person is involved in. For instance my NA clan are the Red Bottoms due to a move at night and subsequent staining of the pants from wet the red clay sat upon.

It's disturbing stuff, especially when you picture a child of Suri's age holding the sensors of an e-meter, being interrogated by an adult determined to have her confess her transgressions.

I asked Headley what a child would have to do in order to be subjected to this treatment.

It probably takes a certain personality type to succumb to these cults, much like people who have so-called 'addictive' personalities give in to drugs, alcohol and gambling. Either way, it is scary how people fall into them. Katie somehow had the sense to hold on to herself and not get lost in the labyrinth of Scientology. What a horrible 'religion'. If someone as much in the public eye as Kate Holmes has to worry about the safety and security of herself and daughter, imagine what the average member goes through when trying to exit this group.
