You could be right. I didn't even think of that. The most sought after are not 3/4 ton long beds. They are 1/2 ton short beds.

Oh, I don't know. I might haul it away for $800 but I'm guessing they wouldn't be willing to pay me that much.

On second thought, it's not worth my time and I don't need $800 today.

One of the first things I look for when buying used is a wheel leaning inward at a 45.

There is no where to take these things. Scrap yards don't want them. I see them abandoned along the roads once in a while. I don't have a clue what the county does with them.
My neighbor has one in his back yard. It's been there for years and I think it will always be there until the guy dies and someone buys his property.

Flat out smoking crack....I have one of these generators, Paid $40 for it. Performed some much needed maintenance, new plug, etc. And it runs like a champ. They are grossly under powered by today's standards, It can run a few basics, LED lights, or LED TV, a drill, things like that, but it will not even run a halogen work light for example. Even if the thing was like new you'd be hard pressed to get someone to pay $100 for it. His Ebay sales pitch is the typical what people are asking vs. what they sell for, no one in the history of Ebay has ever paid $1700 for one, I guarantee it. For $800 you can easily come by a newer Honda with 2, 3 even 4 times the power with the cleaner inverters for today's electronics. I would certainly not plug a router or laptop into these old units. They are cool little vintage units to be sure, but $50 would be my top dollar on a good day.

I’ve always hated old Ford trucks even though I’ve owned a bunch. The twin I beam suspension really sucks when they get old.

Yeah they front suspension was shit on a lot of Fords. And Ford motors on older rigs really sucked the gas.

What are the odds that someone who can't spell "penny" knows it's value?

I don't even think it's worth 500 pennies.

I have a silver dollar older then that, I would be willing to part with for $500.
