Small Scotsman camp trailer - $350 (Rogue valley)
image 3 of 6
Scotsman camp trailer from the 70’s I think. I have the title and it says the model year (will update) Bought used some years ago, used on a few trips. It’s been sitting over ten years. Needs to be cleaned for sure. Come look if your interested if it doesn’t sell in a week or two I’m tearing it down. Would be perfect for this years hunting season. Call/txt preferred but email works too. Anytime just leave a message if there’s no answer. Price obo
LOL I saw this beauty the other day. The part I thought was funny was him saying ..... Would be perfect for this years hunting season.
When I retired I had nothing but time and I bought two travel trailers from a tow company for 50 bucks each.
I decided to fix the leaky roof on one and put in a new ceiling. It took A TON of work to grind and chip off the layer after layer of old roof tar and different kinds of crap they uses to seal the roof. I used a 21 foot walk plank and two ten foot ladders for a scaffold.
I found out the ceiling rafters which were made of one bys were rotten. I replaced the entire inside with
New wood that ended up being trusses.
And I ran 2x4s all parallel around the trailer to support the trusses. Then I used spray foam in a lot of places and new insulation.
I covered the ceiling with paneling. And then it rained. And it leaked. I patched it and it leaked again.
And again.. So I put a truckers tarp over it and it's been like that for 10 years.
What a colossal waste of time.
The other smaller trailer has never leaked LOL. It's full of antique boat motors and chain saws.
At least the trailer here has value being the cute little canned ham people want. But I don't know if it's worth all of the work.I don't see how it could be. IMO the entire ceiling needs replaced as well as the floor and maybe the walls.
You can tell the back wall is rotten ( see arrows) because it won't even support the weight.

Yep, I agree, this one would need to be a complete restore from the frame up. Not worth the time or $$ IMO. I suppose someone could spruce it up and make it look nicer than it is, but the core structure is clearly rotten.

I'm saying that I think they are using a photograph of a real store, and not their place in the emporium, but I've never been there.

Me too. If that was a fake pic the post would have been flagged.

Those human animals can be dangerous. Perhaps we could use those instead of a wall.
