It's supposed to be HUGE. I read where a weather guy said he had NEVER seen anything like this. It's supposed to hit the east coast Monday.

It looks impressive in the satellite pic.

Obama is behind it.
So he can win the election.

Sure, we must be alert to forest fire danger. And, they tell us that "someday" the earth will move beneath our feet. But all in all, this is "God's country", the almost perfect place to live. I feel for those on the east coast and wish them well in dealing with this thing. But I really hope they don't hear about this part of the country and start moving in. And maybe a reminder to all of us to keep some water, canned goods, etc on hand. (We could go back to Clone's topic on this and get all the details).

My family back east is in kind of an uproar but they are preparing. My sister has property very close to the water and lives on Long Island, which is supposed to get hammered. Some of my friends are taking it lightly but most aren't. Most of them have stocked up on all the necessities and those not so inclined have been invited to crash if it comes to that.
I've lived through nor'easters, blizzards and the occasional hurricane but nothing like this. My mom has vivid memories of the 1938 Hurricane which did amazing damage. This storm is being compared to that one except that instead of a twelve-hour event, it may be as long as 36 hours which will be devastating. Part of me feels guilty for being so safe here in Oregon, like when we were in CA on 9/11, knowing friends and family are in harm's way. This time, at least, people can get ready. The whole area is shutting down - schools, transportation systems, businesses, etc. tonight at around 7:00 p.m. There are massive evacuations taking place, mostly from coastal areas. I'll be keeping an eye on this one and hoping for the best.

Looks like the blue staters really are being punished for voting for Obama. God isn't going to wait until after the election after all.

In the end, an overhyped storm to take the news cycle off of Obamas impending doom. Hell, they might even try to spin it as a cause of his losing somehow.
How did he get his hands on Bush's Weather machine?

Obama is giving a PSA on the storm right now, and it sounds like he's explaining his last 4 years in office. "It's going to be a slow moving storm, that is going to affect millions of people".....

This is the new Indian River inlet bridge on the Delaware coast that just opened this summer and it's now collapsed. The brunt of the storm hasn't even hit yet.

This is BEFORE the storm. Atlantic City with pieces of what was once the Atlantic City boardwalk floating by.

How did Obama manage to do that?

It's not Obama... it's God! Seems he's pissed off about the homosexuals and marriage equality!
