Excerpt: "The folks at Oregon's Office of Economic Analysis have come up with another compelling chart that puts the state's economic picture in stark relief. This chart compares our job losses to previous recessions and shows just how far we have to go to get back to our pre-recession employment peak in 2007.

The only post-World War II downtown that was worse was in the early 1980s when high interest rates tanked the state's timber industry, which was then a much bigger part of Oregon's overall economy."

Boise Cascade is doing awesome right now. They recently opened the plant in White City and are still hiring. My husband's been working 6 days a week with no end in site at the Medford plant. Things seem to be looking up.

I fish with friends that work for Swanson's and they too are doing VERY well! And, in my business, it is obvious people are spending more money.
Doom and gloomers notwithstanding, things are indeed looking up.
