I couldn't do much about it.
She already had the barrel of the pistol in her mouth and the gun was loaded.
She kept pulling on the trigger guard and of course couldn't get it to fire.
I pointed this out and told her to move her finger inside the housing where the trigger is located.
What a mess.
The least she could have done was go into the back yard.
I kind of miss her. The woman could make a Phillysteak to kill for. Irony, huh?

My ex did this. She was 27. Got drunk, called me up at 1 in the morning to beg me to come back to her. I refused. She shot herself in the right temple. Used MY gun to do it, so guess who the investigators looked at first. My (then) 8 year old found her the next morning. 20 years ago April 16th. No exit wound, so no mess, and she wasnt in the backyard. The autopsy revealed she still had a BAL of .21 9 hours after she completed the act. My (then) 8 year old is now 28 and doesnt remember much about it.

Whoa!
Sorry dude. Thing is, people are free to do it. The poor lady must have been troubled. I mean, to off herself because YOU wouldn't come back is really messed up. Laughing
I don't know what a BAL is.
As you already know, you will always have to be available for you daughter when she needs to talk about it. And I hope you have already been through the process of knowing you need not feel any guilt.
Sad. Sad stuff happens, and we can't know how people will behave under stress.

We might wish to live in a better world. For whatever good it would do.

My thoughts, however brief, are with you.

BAL of .21, it wouldn't drop much after death because the liver no longer is removing it.

Was she a smoker?

You start to ferment after death. I didn't know that.
I guess that's what blood wine is all about.
