Sure if when we die we are left in a field somewhere. I plan to be 6 feet under ground or more likely ashes. Unless I die in a remote part of Eastern Oregon and feed turkey vultures for a while.
I buried a dog at the bottom of a septic test hole and totally filled it in, and flies still got to the body. I was amazed.

Was the dog dead before you buried it?

Not sure if it works or not, but I saw this on Pinterest:

I knew someone was going to say that. Most decomposition is done by bacteria and fungus; maggots play less of a role and only work on flesh when its warm out. They are lazy decomposers if that's even a word.
And maggots, Cletus. Maggots. They are amazing efficient. Faster than bacteria. And the fact that they do it warm weather only accentuates their value.

Please describe this valuable service.
Dinner for frogs, birds and a host of other species. You seem to talk a lot about eating, don't you dinner is valuable?
Flies are also a valuable tool for forensic experts to determine the time of death.
