Free Entry Into Crater Lake Park
#1
If you are looking for something to do on Sunday, tomorrow there is free entrance into the park.

Quote:Come on up to Crater Lake National Park on Sunday August 25th and help us celebrate the 97th birthday of the U.S. National Park Service! August 25th is a fee free day, so come on up and enjoy the day with us and take in the scenery for free. You could attend a ranger program and learn about this gorgeous place, bring your kids to join in on the fun of the Junior Ranger Programs in the afternoon, or sit and relax while viewing the sight of this beautiful lake.

$10 per car: http://www.nps.gov/crla/planyourvisit/fe...ations.htm

For what it's worth, nobody mans the toll booth at night either. I like to go up there on a moonlit night where it's often quite special (and, free!)

No idea. I only go in the winter on a snowmobile. No traffic at all then!

We're supposed to pay? I don't remember paying.. I guess it's been a long time. Last time we were there we tied prayer bundles in the trees on the rim and made an offering.
I guess you got to pay to pray, these days.
