I had a ladyfriend that insists we saw one together. I bought a dash cam afterwards, just to settle those kinds of disputes, but the ladyfriend and I are no longer together. And I'm not sure she has a good grip on reality, either. (The forest service guy didn't believe her either, and I only caught a glimpse of whatever it was from the rear.)

They generally live at altitudes above 4500' and I think only one has been photographed in the state of Oregon ever. It's not like they're a common barnyard pest.

A wolverine is a big weasel. I have no doubt they would eat your chickens if you lived near them.
There is a women who lives all winter by herself in a very remote research center in Alaska. There is a show called" life below Zero" about her and some other people. She is very knowledgeable and experienced and she was convinced a Wolverine was hunting HER!

There's 3 confirmed wolverines in the whole state. http://www.opb.org/news/blog/ecotrope/wo...in-oregon/
And everything eats chicken, if they get a chance!

If there isn't food up at their altitude, they'll come down just like any other animal hungry for food and water

And BTW, if there was no food at the 1040 elevation where I live I would descend to an elevation of 1020 and get food at Albertsons.
