I'm hoping that'll be good enough with the water running???

I think you're fine. Is your pump submersible or above ground?

I admit I don't know much about my pump house. Razz But, I am assuming it's a submersible, since I don't see anything in there that looks like a pump.
All it says is it's an F & W. Our well is 87' deep. There's a 6" casing coming up out of the concrete about 6 inches. It has a galvanized lid. A galvanized pipe comes out of that and over thru something with a pressure valve? and then on to the tank. There is also a gray plastic pipe that sticks out of the top of the well. It has a pvc cap on it.

It is a submersible pump. Sounds like you have no worries.

The building I have with a toilet was originally a place to shower and change clothes going to and from the swimming pool. And so little wet kids didn't have to run in to the house to pee.
I had a pool for more than 20 years but I got rid of it.

My pump is above ground, and my shed is just metal, with no insulation.
100 watt bulb works just fine Smiling
So long as it's on when I need it to be.
We don't live in Minnesota. .

I remember back about 30 years ago we had about a week of temps that were right around 10 degrees. That spell froze some pipes that people said had never frozen in years.
We could get that weather again, who knows.
Back in 1973, It got down to about 5-10 degrees and stayed that way for days. Everyone pipes were freezing and the plumbers were so busy you couldn't get anyone to fix them. It was so freaking cold and it didn't help that we had a cement floor. God I hope it don't happen like that this winter..

Out here in SV, I believe it would have had to be between Christmas and New Years.

That was before I got here. I came out here in 1979. That cold spell I mentioned was about 1980 or 81 maybe. We had a couple of others close to that bad since. Or maybe only one other.

We walked to the store in our snow suits and bought two bottles of beer.
After about a half mile they were freezing up inside.

Sure did. Probably the best thing I have ever done for my kids. They all are doing so much better here than they were in Medford...it's kind of like a dream at this point. I won't go into too much detail, as this is not the thread for such.

Though the weather is harsh during the winter, the summer will be nice. Anything over 80 is too hot for me. I have been outside in light cotton pj's when it is 20 outside and haven't flinched. I suppose later this week I will have to don thicker clothing and a jacket, lol!

Holy cow! Surprised Don't forget to check the little boxes near the top to get the records added to the chart.

The lowest recorded temperature was -42°F in 1912.
