This afternoon about my wife brought it to my attention that the water was rising covering the pavers (sidewalk) by the back door. 70 or 80 ft.
My house is on a slab . So we can't have that I fixed the drainage problem a couple of years ago with with a 3 in buried pipe from my house to the lowest point on my property.
Something had it clogged. snow I guess.
So I decided to push a running hose through it but mu hoses were still frozen.
Lucky me I prepared for something like this.. Or a fire so had a hose stashed in my green house in my green and another in my pump house.
So I ran the hose through it and realized the water out back was so high that it still wouldn't drain
Anyway after following the path of the water trying to find a place where there was a snow ice jam I had no luck.
Bit when I came back the water all around my house was gone. Apparently my drain pipe was clogged and I did free it up. Loads of fun LOL. One thing for sure. If I die my wife can't stay at this high maintenance place.
It's a bitch out here, all privately owned roads and culverts and the ground is just plain flat
