"Leonard Cohen, a Canadian-born poet, songwriter and singer, whose intensely personal lyrics exploring themes of love, faith, death and philosophical longing made him the ultimate cult artist, and whose enigmatic song “Hallelujah” became a celebratory anthem recorded by hundreds of artists, died Nov. 7. He was 82."
His time to pass, and so be it. He will be missed but left a body of work that will endure. I haven't purchased his last album yet but have listed to some of the cuts. His voice, long gone, is really shot on this latest offering. Still, as always with Cohen, it's his lyrics that are so valuable. I'll buy it in time.
Hard to chose a favorite but this is one I listen to often.

Hey Wonky did you get a chance to hear Cohen when he was interviewed on NPR?
The lady who interviewed him asked what happened to his voice. he said “It’s the result of about 500 tons of whiskey and millions of cigarettes.”
I thought that was funny and he's certainly not the only one. Considering that I think he was lucky making to 82.
RIP.
