I'm not a music snob but for the last few years have kind of given up on 'cool' popular music. More often than not I find myself floundering around on 70's and 80's stations but get tired of it after awhile. So, I've been listening to classical music, the classical station on Sirius which is 77. Lovely stuff, actually. Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto Number 2 is currently my fave. Now I know what music all those ice skaters used to dance to!
There are more challenging classical stations, like 79; the one I listen to is the equivalent of Top 40 Classical tunes but it is very pleasant music, to my ears anyway.
DeBussey's "Girl With the Flaxen Hair", Rocky's Piano No. 2 as mentioned earlier, Trumpet Voluntary with the organ music is awesome, as is Fantasia by... I'll let you know.. and "Pavanne for a Dead Princess" by what's his name are ones I hope to hear when the station is on.
Hey, even if I can't remember everything about the piece, like the composer, at least I know some of the names.
