Indecent Window Display
#1
Quote:SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - A mother upset about "indecent" T-shirts on display at a Utah mall found a quick if not especially convenient way to remove them: She bought every last one.

Judy Cox and her 18-year-old son were shopping Saturday at the University Mall in Orem, about 40 miles south of Salt Lake City, when she saw the shirts in the window of a PacSun store.

The shirts featured pictures of scantily dressed models in provocative poses.

Cox said she complained about the window display to a store manager and was told the T-shirts couldn't be taken down without approval from the corporate office. She then bought all 19 T-shirts in stock, for a total of $567. She says she plans to return them later, toward the end of the chain store's 60-day return period.

I think I would have to see the shirts to make a call on it. I don't see this ending well on the returns end....

One person's free speech is another person's obscenity. The issue is where to draw the line -- and it's always shifting. I'm certain there is an image or another that everybody wouldn't want on a t-shirt. The majority wins this one.

I voted "NO!"

(edit: forgot the phrasing of the question.)

Oh, those Mormons!

From the picture, it looks like what she objected to was the graphic on the front, rather than the actual cut of the shirt. On the PacSun website, I'd say the "Roxy T-Back Crochet Dress" ($36.95) is way more pornographic than any of their shirts.Cool

They're probably puzzled by the sudden amount of activity on their website. Well, there's no such thing as bad publicity.

Why would you think she would be heavier?? Because she did a wacko thing like buying the t-shirts. She 's from Utah, my guess she is a Morman. Don't think her weight has anything with her desicision.
