Obama wants FCC monitors in newsrooms

Yes I would.

Richard Nixon’s FCC challenged two TV licenses of stations owned by the Washington Post during Watergate. Make no mistake about it, Obama is using the FCC to challenge Fox News. This study is a wolf in a sheep's clothing. Nixon used the IRS as a weapon against his political opponents, just a Obama is using them to target the TEA Party. We have come full circle. Every the libs hated about Nixon has been reincarnated in Obama.

How about this quote regarding the study:

Quote:This study begins the charting of a course to a more effective delivery of necessary information to all citizens. The FCC must emphatically insist that we leave no American behind when it comes to meeting the needs of those in varied and vibrant communities of our nation -- be they native born, immigrant, disabled, non-English speaking, low-income, or other.

And who made that quote you ask? Obama appointee FCC commissioner Mignon Clyburn ( a democrat), who just happens to be the daughter of House Democratic Rep. James Clyburn, one of Obama's most vocal supporters.

Bush isn't president, and actually hasn't been for five years.

The point is that Republicans never cared that the FCC conducted studies when Bush was president. Now however, these studies are scary and possibly violate the constitution.

Edit: You miss George don't you OL? Big Grin

The Telecommunications Act of 1996 provided the basis for the studies, but only to the point that it was meant to better understand the new market back then and update the original act of 1934. It had nothing to do with George Bush or Fox News, and it was an acting FCC commissioner that went to the Wall Street Journal with the initial concerns about the 2013 study.

It wasn't Greg Walden either wonky.

I got that from the article Willie posted. Allow me to post the pertinent part the way it was meant to be read.

FCC Commissioner Ajit Pai, a Republican called attention to the study in an op-ed for the Wall Street Journal last week saying the FCC wants to "thrust the federal government into newsrooms across the country." Laughing

The guy is an OBAMA appointee. Hope he lives out the week.

You are damn right this is all about FOX News. When Obama's buddy David Axelrod was Obama's chief of staff he went so far as to say that Fox News was "not really a news station". Obama has constantly bashed Fox News at at one point during when Benghazi first hit the news his peeps hit all the Sunday talks shows, CNN, NBC, ABC and CBS, they skipped Fox because they said it was not part of the “legitimate” news networks". His then White House Communications Director Anita Dunn told the New York Times of Fox News “We don’t need to pretend that this is the way that legitimate news organizations behave.” She then went on CNN and stated Fox was a part of the Republican Party and went on to say "Let's not pretend they're a news network the way CNN is".

Yes. This is about Fox News and any other news organization that dare question the Exulted Leader.

If Faux News wants to actually report NEWS, let them report it. But if they want to be a political soap box and nothing but, they need to take their "fair and balanced" slogan and shove it up their ass, because it's nothing but shit.

This sort of thinking seems to work well in Venezuela. I'm not so sure that we're ready.

According to a new poll from Public Policy Polling, a left leaning outlet, Fox News has been voted the most trusted network for the third year in a row.

35% of Americans say they trust Fox News more than any other TV news outlet, followed by 14% for PBS, 11% for ABC, 10% for CNN, 9% for CBS, 6% each for Comedy Central and MSNBC, and 3% for NBC. It leads the way because of its continuing near total support among Republicans as the place to go for news- 69% of Republicans say it's their most trusted source with nothing else polling above 7%. Meanwhile Democrats are split between a lot of different outlets when it comes to who they have the most faith in- PBS at 21%, CNN and ABC at 18%, and CBS and MSNBC at 12% all poll in double digits.

So Susan Rice hit the Sunday morning talk shows today. Well all but one, she refused to come on FOX. I'm shocked. She ducks the one network that would actually ask her tough questions.

Fox News Greta Susteren decides to answer the questions the FCC wanted to ask....

Quote:The first question: “What is the news philosophy of the station?”

Van Susteren’s answer: “None of your business, read the Constitution.”

Question No. 2: “How much news does your station air every day?”

“Watch and figure it out yourself, I’m not doing your work for you,” she responded.

The third question from the proposed FCC study: “Who decides which stories are covered?”

Van Susteren’s familiar answer: “None of your business, read the Constitution.”

“Read the Constitution is what they should’ve done before they even did this study,” she added.

Your statement would be wrong. Using the numbers you provided "35% of Americans say they trust Fox News more than any other TV news outlet". That means 65% do not. I'd say that's pretty unambiguous.

...

The poll also asked which news team was “least trusted;” Fox won that, too, because many Democrats don’t like it.

Of course democrats hate Fox. That's because Fox dares to report on the dirty deeds of their Exhaled Leader, their Imperial President Barack Hussein Obama. If it were not for Fox we were never have heard about Fast and Furious, Benghazi, NSA spying, using the IRS to target Conservatives, the FCC proposal to name a few. It would be all Rainbows and Unicorns...

You call PBS a news source? CBS? ABC? NBC? Jon Stewart, Bill Maher or Stephen Colbert?

So who do you turn to get actual reporting of the news and not political spin of the administration?

You are right if it wasn't for Fox we would know about all of the overblown hysterical BULLSHIT. OH wait a tic!, YES we still would. We hear the exact same garbage on AM radio if we were stupid enough to listen to these idiots.
And I love the way you had to write Obama's middle name. It's always a dead giveaway about you...... the Muslin born in Kenya, fake birth certificate moronic ideas.

No, 31% don't find it as trustworthy as some other source. Maybe some think Infowars.com is more trustworthy, and Fox is just another biased media outlet that's sold out to the globalist agenda. Maybe some simply prefer to get their news from BBC or PBS. You know, the intelligent conservatives.

Duh. Just don't claim MSNBC is giving me unbiased news either. They both suck ass. Read both, try and filter out the bullshit and find other news sources to compare stories.
