So...I hope this dip in temps will help with local fires.

Pray for rain and watch the sky.

You folks who are clever at keeping tabs on things, what do you hear?

You're not gonna ask Chuck? He'd be the

Pray for rain and keep your head down.
If you watch the sky, you'll get water in your eye. Blink

How about this one?  When I try Google Image it only takes me to similar pictures not THE picture.

I think sometimes the image size gets changed and the the search image feature won't work .

I found this photo....[img][Image: kezuau.jpg][/img]

"Crater Lake National Park has closed the north entrance road between State Highway 138 at the park’s north boundary and the Crater Lake west rim drive at north junction."

Think maybe the air quality in the ENTIRE STATE is not so good?

http://www.deq.state.or.us/aqi/index.aspx

No sure I remember when the entire state was so full of smoke. We get it from north, south, all around I guess.

I'm starting to regret the 40 cigarettes I smoked each day for 40 years.  Embarrassed

One of my favorite hikes has always been to the headwaters of the Rogue River, called Boundary Springs, in northern Crater Lake Park. It will be interesting over the next ten years to watch it rejuvenate.

I too, have often enjoyed walking through "a burn". Some folks I know think it's not "scenic enough" but I think it's fascinating how quickly nature starts to rebuild.

I regret that I've never hiked in Crater Lake National Forest. Missed my window of opportunity now, so will content myself with photo's and maybe your description of it.

Hope you take a camera and post some photo's when/if you get the chance to walk it.

Looks like the smoke has cleared in the valley. Did you get enough rain to help with the fires?
