Wake Up and Say Something
#1
Ok, I checked in here at least 3 times and no one has posted anything. So I guess its my job again. Know what else in my job? Cleaning the kitchen floor. I am thinking about calling a family meeting to discuss the dividing up of chores. I share in the chores because real men sometimes do the dishes. My wife taught me that.  Smiling

Enjoy your much cooler day RVF and do something nice for someone today.

Spook was the smartest person I ever knew, son of a psychologist, and Harvard dropout. One of
our original Peaches crew and a total societal misfit. Loved coffee shops and stimulating discussion.
A fellow kidney disease traveler. Was named Spook at Pembroke Country Day School for his habit of appearing out of the vapor.

Mornin'!  Waving
On my second cup of Hawaiian (Kona) Blend Coffee; already had my Oatmeal.  Hubby went in to work for a few hours and then we're off to an unnamed Casino.  Wink  My parents are meeting us tomorrow for some lunch and (gambling) fun.

Have never seen Star Trek so I won't morn his passing any more than the many others who have died on this day. But to those who watched it, I'm sure they will "feel a loss".

It's true Clete, real men do dishes. But real men don't have to LIKE doing dishes. I personally feel that kitchen floors only need cleaning when the dog gets stuck in the muck and mire and can't make it all the way through.

I too, like the break in the weather. I've written to Richard Dawkins and asked him to pray for rain...still haven't heard from him. (Maybe too busy promoting his new book). Soon, the frost will be on the pumpkin, leaf season will be upon us, and the forest fires a memory for at least this year. I pity those who live in the wonderland of tropical splendor and miss the blessings of the change of seasons.

So, good and faithful members of the RVF, "Go Forth"...just don't multiply!  Razz

OK a real person. He sounds like he was a very interesting man. I love talking to real intellectuals. People that know lots of things are the coolest people to hang out with.

I thought you had misspelled Spock, but he died a while back.  Smiling

Been busy. Been thinking of going to Grants Pass to recruit some people for jobs for the city of Seattle.

Anybody want to work the city of Seattle? Where you have a illegal strike and not get fired? Try that at Masterbrands.

I like this new life in Ashlandia. Don't have to leave town, don't even have to get in the car. College and HS students streaming past, interesting folks in the neighborhood, and a different mountain out each window.

Good morning. I'm off to work... again. All you retired folks enjoy the Oregon sunshine today. I kind of like it myself after the heat of summer.

Good Morning, speaking of retired folks I learned yesterday that my favorite high school teacher is now in his 80's, that was one of those holy crap moments. Every once in awhile you have those moments that puts into perspective just how fast time flies.

What?  Surprised You're not retired? You need to work on that. Smiling  I am retired. I work only when I want
to and I am finding that this is the best time ever. Working a little provides me enough money to travel, and I love to travel.

Have a great day RVF.

And when you got up you probably had a great cup of coffee in your PJs and slippers and spent some leisurely time on some websites.  Smiling
