Should I call and make up some story to cancel each one as they come up or do I pull this relationship off like a band-aid and say "sorry but this is not working out for me, it's not you, it's me, have a nice life" The downside of that approach is, should I have a dental emergency before securing a new dentist I may need the guy! But, if I cancel appts, you can bet I will be hounded about rescheduling, their office manager must of been a used car salesman in a former career, she's relentless. I told my wife to call them and tell them I died, but she wouldn't go for it, damnit.
Has anyone else had to break up with a dentist before??
Step one: Find a new dentist.
Step two: Call dentist and tell them to cancel all your appointments, you found a new dentist. If they ask why, tell them everyone in the new office have better looking teeth.
Step three: Stop stressing over it they won't miss you.
This reminds me, there used to be fancy lady dentist on 7th st. She worked in her fancy clothes, poofy hair and a full array of jewelry. She also had a room set-up with a juice bar or mimosa bar while you wait your turn. Not sure if she was a good dentist, but was certainly a good hostess.
