The wife says they are calling for 111 degrees today. She always says it that way. It sounds like the weather forecasters are asking for 111.
Yesterday at my place ( in the desert) it was 108 with one thermometer and 109 with the other. Anyway I think all this stay indoors stuff is just silly. I say go for a jog, split some wood don't be such a wuss.

I agree. When I was a kid we never had no stinking air conditioning! We sat in front of fans, wait, not fans plural, we only owned 1.
And my mom telling me to stay indoors cause it was too hot, never happen. It didn't matter if it was 32 degrees or 110 degrees we played outdoors and still rode our bikes all over town. It was a great day if you could find a couple bottles to redeem to buy a blue Nehi. Cause we never drank water either, unless you found a water fountain, didn't have no wussy bottled water either and sure as hell was not gonna ride around with a canteen.
The high temp at our house yesterday was 104.6

The high temp at our house yesterday was 104.6 Could be worse. We could be military advisors in Iraq where the temps reach 125 degrees F, packing gear and in combat clothing, hoping some nut job doesn't drive by with a bomb in his car.
Well, maybe you.
I'd go to jail before I'd serve in that hell hole.

It's 108 at my compound. I will be updating the temps through out the day for those of you who can't access the internet.

89 here at 2200 but it's too dark to tell if that's in the shade or not.

Maybe Grape Nehi?? I liked Peach Nehi the best but I couldn't even order it here. It's only available east of the Rockies.

Its 91 here right now. I am going to go out into the garden and pick a few tomatoes and cucumbers, then back into the air conditioned living room. I don't know invented the home air conditioner, but he is my hero at least for the rest of this week.

Yes, but it's still too hot and they're calling for 99 later in the day. I think I'll take the kids to a movie/fun-zone place for a few hours and the maybe go out for cheap sushi at one of those revolving plate places.

It's really not too hot for water sports, swimming, floating the river or whatever. I had a pool for over 20 years and used to look forward to these days.
