Climate Science

I fully realize that the climate alarmists want Joe shot, hung, mutilated, and burned at the stake, but the fact is, he know what he's talking about.  It's kinda like, his job?

I also realize that ZERO of the Alarmists here will actually read and discern/dissect the information provided.  But that is par for the course around here.  I am free to post it anyway.

Isn't it great that we all get to post our views and opinions here! (Retorical question).

But, our views and opinions are not as important as facts. We get views and opinions from any number of sources but we get facts from an accumulation of trusted sources who employ objective journalists to parse the information they investagate and report findings.

You have accesss to the World Wide Web and search engines that will provide a complete picture of the facts you need. You chose to reference a site that can only be considered politically and socially biased.

Here is a site you might want to consider: It is not political and addresses only the science of the study of the change science is discovering on our planet.

http://history.aip.org/history/climate/impacts.htm

An excerpt:

But by the start of the 21st century, it was clear that climate change would bring serious harm to many regions — some more than others. Indeed many kinds of damage were already beginning to appear.

Come on Wonky , If you didn't know before NO amount of facts, logic, common sense, or reams of information is going to change a ZEALOTS mind.

He Lugo ...no, not a typo. (you there TVg?)...

I think I again failed to make my "complete" point. (Hey, my brain cells are dying in bunches these days).
You posted ONE guys opinion from one site. My point was that there is a whole raft of stufff out there with facts by lots and lots of respected people who express contrary facts.

Still, three are scientists who deny "climate change". (I've noticed that many are indeeed scientists, but often not those who's disciplne is specifically in the study of climate). I understand you feel they are to be believed.

My guess is that when Brookings is under water you will come around.  Smiling.  Or, maybe when the beach in Brookings has more sand than ever I'll have to come around.

Someday we will know, for sure. But just in case, shouldn't we maybe prepare for what might happen?

Lugo didn't move to Butte Falls. He moved to a place on the highway on way there. He wanted to live in the country, but still be close to the ACLU offices should he need them.  Laughing

I don't care about "feelings". And you don't care about facts. Not if it doesn't fit in to your ignorant right wing politically motivated beliefs.

Lots of eye candy, (graphs) then he makes the statement

Quote:It’s true the globe is warmer now and that is where the real debate should focus, not taking what is natural and making it something it is not.

He realizes the world is getting warmer, but still in denial over the cause, or the speed.

Quote:Global Warming Effects On Ecosystem And Human Beings

Some people did not expect the level of change.  The impacts of global climate change on species and ecosystems affect humans, the authors said, since the consequences range from increased pests and disease outbreaks, unpredictable changes in fisheries, and decreasing agriculture production.  Furthermore, impacts on our health could stem from declines in natural systems such as coral reefs and mangroves, which provide natural defense to storm surges, expanding or new disease vectors and a redistribution of suitable farmland.  All of these only means an unpredictable future for humans

former NASA climate scientist has put out a new report criticizing the argument that global warming is settled science.
“It should be clear that the science of global warming is far from settled,” said Dr. Roy Spencer, a former NASA scientist who now co-runs a major satellite temperature dataset at the University of Alabama-Huntsville.
“Uncertainties in the adjustments to our global temperature datasets, the small amount of warming those datasets have measured compared to what climate models expect, and uncertainties over the possible role of Mother Nature in recent warming, all combine to make climate change beliefs as much faith-based as science-based,” Spencer wrote in a report published by the conservative Texas Public Policy Foundation.
“Until climate science is funded independent of desired energy policy outcomes, we can continue to expect climate research results to be heavily biased in the direction of catastrophic outcomes,” Spencer wrote.
