You know he meant "say"

Here is the speech anyway. It was very emotional; everyone with a heart and a brain were uplifted by it. No Republicans attended because they are heartless and have malfunctioning brains.

Whatever, I don't analyze typos or intent. My comment works fine and had to do with the subject posted, no reason for TV to get all wonky.

Edit to ad, politicians never uplift me or make me emotional, I pretty much hate all the lying SOBs. So Obama had a good speech writer tonight, bfd.

And there you have it, COMPLETELY different views on the same words spoken. We are in some deep shit as a nation....

I watched what I could of the speech and will watch what I missed later. What I did see (up until he began speaking about hie family) was not so special or at least it's stuff he's already covered before.I look forward to seeing the rest...

He stood in front of a crowd.
He said "Farewell". (Geo. Washington started the tradition)
In 10 days (9?) he will no longer be our president.

Mr. Trump will be our president.
My guess is, a LOT of people we be HOPING for CHANGE.  Razz

Some great things he said prior to speaking about his family I missed....

But, protecting our way of life, that’s not just the job of our military. Democracy can buckle when it gives into fear. So just as we as citizens must remain vigilant against external aggression, we must guard against a weakening of the values that make us who we are.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

No matter how imperfect our efforts, no matter how expedient ignoring such values may seem, that’s part of defending America. For the fight against extremism and intolerance and sectarianism and chauvinism are of a piece with the fight against authoritarianism and nationalist aggression. If the scope of freedom and respect for the rule of law shrinks around the world, the likelihood of war within and between nations increases, and our own freedoms will eventually be threatened.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Rivals like Russia or China cannot match our influence around the world — unless we give up what we stand for, and turn ourselves into just another big country that bullies smaller neighbors.

He couldn’t resist: Obama told one particularly blatant big, fat lie in his Farewell Address
President Barack Obama told a blatant lie during his Farewell Address in Chicago Tuesday night.
When speaking about achievements during his presidency, Obama said health care costs were “rising at the slowest rate in 50 years.” While this sounds nice, it does not hold up when tested against the facts.
The cost of medicine, doctor appointments and health insurance rose the most in August of 2016 than any other time since 1984. The average family health care plan is projected to grow this year at a faster rate than wages, the Kaiser Family Foundation reports.

Obama’s statement is all the more interesting, given that his administration announced last October that insurance premiums would rise by double-digit percentages in 2017. Premiums will increase at an average of 25 percent across the 39 states serviced by the online marketplace healthcare.gov. Even worse, around 20 percent of consumers, or one in five, will only have one insurer to choose from in the marketplace. (RELATED: White House: Obamacare Premiums Will Rise By Double-Digits Next Year)
Medical care prices increased by 4 percent from November 2015 to November 2016, and health insurance and prescription drug prices increased by 6 percent over the same period, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

I'm not questioning it happened, I watched and heard it myself. My question is why is this worthy of reporting? What am I missing?
