Quote:A man is dead following an officer-involved shooting Monday night in Wolf Creek.
The shooting happened at about 9:40 p.m., according to an Oregon State Police news release.

OSP Grants Pass Area Command responded to the Wolf Creek General Store, in the 300 block of Old Highway 99, during a search for the man, identified as 35-year-old Jacy Kevin McManus of Wolf Creek,

I remember him from a few weeks back.

Quote:Oregon State Police is asking for the public’s help in locating a person of interest in a shooting that occurred Thursday in Wolf Creek.
The shooting happened about 5 p.m. at 96 Lower Wolf Creek Road. Law enforcement arrived to find one man on the ground with a gunshot wound. The shooter had fled.

Police are hunting for Jacy Kevin McManus, 35, of the Wolf Creek/Roseburg area, as a “person of interest.”

Plus last week, we had

Quote:According to Sergeant Jeff Proulx with Oregon State Police, Hummel was found dead at a residence off Placer Road after Josephine County deputies and Oregon State Police responded to a 911 call of a shooting.
That’s when they called the Josephine County Major Crime Response Team involving the Grants Pass Department of Public Safety, the Josephine County Sheriff’s Office, detectives and the District Attorney’s Office.
Based on interviews and evidence on the property, police arrested Sunny Valley resident Amber Sells.
“They filed charges, arrested her and lodged her in Josephine County Jail on murder,” Sergeant Proulx said.
Police believe Sells was the daughter of Hummel’s friend.
As the investigation is ongoing, police say at this point the motive behind the shooting is still unknown.
I talked to several neighbors in the area.
They say they hear gunshots all the time and didn’t suspect anyone was shot.
They say what they heard last night was one shot fired followed by another a minute later.

I was in Grants Pass for two days this week and the worst thing that happen to me was some driver of a sliver sedan ran a stop sign on the Williams Highways (AKA OR 238) and I had to slow down to avoid a collision. Grants Pass is a nice peaceful town in reality. Of course I did not answer any dispatch calls on behalf of the Public Safety Department of the city of Grants Pass, because my jurisdiction is give or take 450 miles away in the city of Seattle and no there where big protest to resist Donald Trump blocking the streets of the fine city of Grants Pass. No, the local good ole boys down at Wonder Bur don't complain too much about their Socialist city council people. No, I did log on to KAJO website and read articles on crime and say "That sounds like one my customers." No, I felt safe on the streets of Grants Pass without carrying my level six on the use force continuum to talk the active shooter to drop the firearm....

Grants Pass, OR is really nice peaceful place for a person like me who works in the Police Department in Seattle. I really doubt people will destroy your car if park at Rogue Community College with a Trump for President on it. Oh well...

Stay safe in Grants Pass and do not let the all night Harley riders wake you up at 0400 with the sound of their loud pipes that save lives etc, etc, etc..

Thank you for that, and that is why we don't need to pass the levy, no need. Big Grin

I think it refers to the idiotic notion that the louder your bike is the more likely people will hear you and not pull out in front of you.
Personally I think it's ludicrous that we allow these dipshit bikers who believe that to destroy peace and quiet.

I've read that the police won't do anything because they don't carry a decibel meter.. what a crock.

If a bike is coming down the road towards a car there's no way the noise travels in front of them significantly enough to warn a driver.
My other issue is these guys driving with their bright lights on at all hours.

If they are this chicken shit they can just sell their bike and buy a Prius.

Is it really like the Wild West around here?

TVguy tells me the real shooting is by blacks in the inner cities. Makes me wonder about population density.

Nevada is crowed. If you live in Las Vegas.

More people are saved by seat belts than cup holders.

So help me I'll rape ya. So rape me, I'll help ya.

This gets tiresome.

Nope...not smoking dope these days. But, there are times when the blood flow to the brain gets depleted and the results are posts like that above.  Wink
