I came across this on CD. Having my own house again (soon) I'll be happy to have space to do some of this preparing.
A magnitude 9.0 earthquake off the Pacific Northwest coast could hit at any time.
Enter your Oregon address for a custom report on your seismic risks and how to prepare.

Pretty interesting. Thanks! We've got a section of our garage set up for stockpiling stuff... we add to it every now and then. Going by the link... we need more!

The problem is stockpiling is I don't actually use the stuff quickly enough and some of it goes out of date.

Amazing. I put mine in and it said I was at risk of imminent death and tribulation. I'm moving in with you.

Can we put it off until after 2020 or they'll blame Trump.

LOL Wow that bad. Death is one thing but tribulation? Is there a cure for that? You are probably in a lava flood zone.
Only two weeks of food is all they want? Don't most people like my wife and I already have at least that?
Also almost everyone has 50 gallons of water in their water heater. I do. Plus another 50 or do in my well pressure tank. And the well is only 40 feet deep. I can pump water to the surface by simply plunging the 40 feet of pipe up and down. OR get a generator, still looking for a deal on a Honda 200IS
Being prepared for our dogs might be harder. We have three and two are very large. They eat a lot of food LOL. 3 eggs day, 4 cans of dog food a day and 4 bowls of dry food a day.

I thought I would share this water filter for everybody.

Quote:If you’ve run out of drinking water during a lakeside camping trip, there’s a simple solution: Break off a branch from the nearest pine tree, peel away the bark, and slowly pour lake water through the stick. The improvised filter should trap any bacteria, producing fresh, uncontaminated water.
In fact, an MIT team has discovered that this low-tech filtration system can produce up to four liters of drinking water a day — enough to quench the thirst of a typical person.
basically you need some tubing (food grade) and cut a branch that is about the same diameter as the tube (after peeling off the bark) and slide it in to the tubing. Now connect the tubing (filter) to a bottle top and let the water drip through the tubing/filter

No.
I'll bet you 10 bucks and give you 10 to 1 it doesn't happen today. People who forecast earthquakes are people who need attention. Will one occur? Certainly. Do we know the day?

Okay: V/Size didn't predict it I guess. But did ask "is this the day?" Why ask?
I think to sharpen up is comedic skills
I think I'll predict an earthquake every day. Eventually I'll be right and maybe even the first to actually predict one accurately! I could do the talk show circuit!
I predicted the lack of a major earthquake, 99% accurate.
What happened the other 1% ?

I'm not quite to 4 sigma yet.
