Quote:Hundreds of pounds of marijuana, guns and thousands of dollars in cash were seized by Rogue Area Drug Enforcement (RADE) from two properties in the Illinois Valley this week.
On Wednesday at about 8:30 a.m., RADE was assisted by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigations (TBI) with the execution of search warrants on two properties in the Selma area.
Grants Pass Police Detective Doni Hamilton, who is a member of the RADE Team, said seized from the two locations were 296 marijuana plants, approximately 100 pounds of processed marijuana, seven firearms and about $14,000 in cash as well as a Kubota tractor and hydraulic dump-bed trailer.
Based on the ongoing investigation, Detective Hamilton said the names of those arrested and the locations of the seizures are being withheld at this time. He said the DEA and TBI are the lead investigators in the case.

So, how does the Tennessee Bureau of Investigations have jurisdiction here?
Or are they just providing the hired muscle?

Who knows... maybe someone was stupid enough to deal from Oregon to Tennessee via snail-mail?? I'm sure there must be some sort of reasoning.

That's the first thing I thought, This weed was confiscated in Tennessee and traced back to Oregon. Probably due to someone snitching in order to lower his sentence or even get off totally.
I'm pretty sure they can use DNA and prove the pot came from here.
It didn't have to be mailed. Someone could have driven a car to Tennessee.

And how many puppies? Exactly. Why don't they include how many puppies were found. Or spatulas. Or rolls of duct tape.
I have at least a dozen BB guns. If I get busted I wonder if they will put that in the paper.

I was out on the screened in porch using this and a group of Bluejays saw this photo.
I heard the head Bluejay say "We are heading for Mexico, pronto!" and they took off like a bat our of hell.
