The Medford Rogues baseball team won the league championship last night at Harry & David field in Medford. They beat the Chico Heat 7-2 on a warm summer evening in front of a good crowd of baseball fans who stayed to the last pitch.
College age guys, they play in a "wooden bat league" and the level of play it very good. They don't get paid.
If you missed this years season but enjoy baseball, you might want to consider it for next year. A great venue, intimate and attractive, and every seat in the house provides a good view of the playing field. Peanuts and Cracker Jacks.
