The left have lost their collective minds

My God.  What has happened to the left?  They have gone literally insane.  They want the statues of Christoper Columbus, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, all the confederate civil war monuments, Teddy Roosevelt and just about every founding father removed from the public square.  Even the USC Trogen horse is on the chopping block.  They have become the American Taliban.

And it does not end there.  Here in Oregon they are removing name Lynch (named after the family that donated land for the schools in the 1800's) because they feel the name is offensIve.  School board removes Lynch from three schools

Then yesterday ESPN removes the Asian sports announcer Robert Lee from the University of Virginia football broadcast just because they felt his name was controversial.  Wow just wow. ESPN Pulls Announcer Robert Lee From Virginia Game Because of His Name

And then you have the left calling for the suspension of free speech.  But not all free speech, just the speech of conservatives.  And who's to blame?  It's all the rights fault of course.  They are causing the left to riot and assault.  Yep it is all the rights fault.  Liberal fascism on display

Quick answer as to what has happened to them? They lost an election that they were promised they wouldn't lose.

That's it. That is literally ALL that happened to them.

I am amazed at how many of the right wing crowd praises and supports running people over if those people don't agree with their views. They just come right out and say it.  Only not that blatantly. They hide behind words, like "They shouldn't have been in the street."  or "It's not OK to make people late to where they are going."

Then you agree with this? (From the Oregonian)

"The national movement to change racially offensive names of buildings, sports teams and landmarks will soon touch a group of schools in southeast Portland. Lynch Meadows, Lynch Wood and Lynch View elementary schools will shed their "Lynch" before the upcoming school year in response to growing concern about the word's racial connotations.

The schools, part of the Centennial School District, were named for the Lynch family, which donated land over a century ago to build the first of the schools. But Centennial Superintendent Paul Coakley says many newer families coming into the district associate the name with America's violent racial history.
The upcoming change is a new step in a movement that, in Oregon, has focused primarily on names insensitive to Native Americans. Several geographic landmarks whose names included the term 'squaw', now considered a slur against Native American women, have been renamed in recent years. And in 2015, the Oregon Board of Education backed advocates in a controversial move that pushed 14 Oregon high schools to change their Native American-themed mascots.
Now that movement, most prominent on college campuses, with professional sports teams and among state geography boards, has reached the elementary school level."

Well not the Communist Party, not MSNBC, or the "Socialist Workers Party but left of center by any definition.

Point being: Where did the over the line political correctness originate? SOMEWHERE on the left. And this thing about renaming Lynch school is simply over the line and those of us " somewhere left of center" should acknowledge it, I feel.
