Voice phones down in Sunny Valley.

Very strange, our land line is dead.
The DSL still works.

Phone company chats me that, it will be down until 6 PM 9-23.

Shit, that's like the last day, when the world ends.

They probably figure, if it ends that day, I'm not going to pay the bill.

Why do you have a landline?

1. The DSL comes over the land line.
2. I hate holding a microwave transmitter up against my head.

I'm against century link on general principle since my ex was a phonie, but I'm not alone in that. I saw a guy while shopping I recognized from the CWA Union picnics. I asked him how retirement was going and he told me he cashed in all stocks and anything financial to do with the phone company. He told me he hated em and so he decided he shouldn't own anything to do with them and that's how he sold out.

Boy, THAT proves the point! Your "phonie" ex-wife and ONE guy you talked with at a picnic say the outfit stinks.
Hey, maybe it does.
Wonder what the data might reveal?

I upgraded to windows 10, and the function key to turn off the touch pad doesn't work anymore.
I keep brushing up against it and it sends my typing all over the place.
Then I have to cut and paste to get it back right.

What is a touch pad?

It's what laptops have to move the cursor.

Oh OK I forgot about laptops. I never could see why people like them for other than being portable. It seems to me everything is a little harder to do than it is on a desktop PC.
But that may not be true anymore.

Nope, as easy to use as a desktop.
Portable can real handy when I want to sit near the fireplace.

It's funny Wonky because I remember watching YOU use your laptop and that was pretty much where I got the idea that a laptop was not as easy. Razz

I sometimes have bad days...shake a bake, so hard to type. (Sometimes take a break from this place when that's going on). Or maybe I'm just clumsy. Or maybe you are right.
If you don't think a laptop would please you maybe you should not get one.
They do please some of us.
So we have 'em.
