The Oregon State Police and the Josephine County Sheriff's Office with assistance from the Grants Pass Department of Public Safety are conducting a death and fire investigation at the 1500 block of Board Shanty Creek Road in Murphy, Oregon. A person of interest has been identified in the case and we are asking the public to call 911 or the Oregon State Police at (541) 664-4600.

The person of interest is Troy M. Dawson (age 24 from Murphy, Oregon). Dawson was last seen, on foot, in the area of the investigation. He is described as 5'10" 170 pounds with a slight build. DAWSON is balding and was last seen wearing a Dark Blue Dodge Ram T-shirt, Grey sweatpants, Grey wool socks, and no shoes. DAWSON may be armed with a firearm. Do not approach.
