The Oregon Department of Environmental Quality will provide an opportunity for Oregonians to comment on changes the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is proposing to standards for national automobile fuel efficiency and greenhouse gas emissions from coal-fired power plants at a public hearing on Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2018.   DEQ will collect and record public comments on the Safer Affordable Fuel Efficient Vehicles Rule and the Affordable Clean Energy Rule and will submit the comments to the EPA by the respective public comment deadlines. Written and verbal comments will be accepted at the hearing only.
 
Meeting Details:
When: Tuesday, October 23, 5 to 7 p.m.
Where: Multnomah County Board Room, 501 SE Hawthorne Blvd., Portland, OR 97214
 
The hearing is open to the public and will be facilitated by a hearings officer. All comments provided during the hearing will be recorded and submitted to the U.S. EPA by Oregon DEQ.
