I'm keeping my Gold Galaxy S6 Edge+. They only wanted to give me $80 for it. I can sell it for well over that. But I did get (well, I will get it Dec. 11) the Lilac Purple S9 for 50% off, plus a screen protector, case and fast charger for 30% off... and our GM employee discount on top of it. Bam! Merry Christmas to me!

Lilac Purple?? isn't that kind'a redundant redundant?   Razz

Not if you want deep purple. Big Grin
S9 eh?  Mine is an S5. maybe (probably) I don't know what I'm missing but the phone I have seems to work fine for everything I need.

Status symbol is all you would be missing.

That's so funny. I never notice what phone a person has. I guess other do though.  Mine is a sad little affair.

I've had the same phone for more than five years. If I bought a new one THEN I would break it or lose it.

Camera & battery life are huge differences. I have the S6 Edge+ right now... the S9 blows it out of the water.

My husband uses his for work. He has to use certain apps... so his phone has to be compatible. He has to upgrade every couple of years because as the app technology changes his phone has to be able to keep up.

Scratch that.  Got an email back that they are out of stock and won't price match it. Black Friday and I do not get along. Like me and lottery tickets. Sad

Which outfit did you buy it from?

Does it matter?

I'm just curious who wouldn't honor a sale just because they were out of stock... or is that normal operating procedure these days?

Most of the Black Friday prices are only good on Black Friday for as long as they have the items in stock. Often times they'll advertise a great sale, but only stock a very limited amount. Then they hope that while you're there you'll go ahead and purchase something else that isn't synch a great deal. It's kinda like a bait & switch kind of thing.

Well that kinda sucks. I guess I should have known. But I never would have thought that Black Friday sales would extend to online shopping... it kind of defeats the purpose of getting you into the store.

True. For online shopping they've had Cyber Monday... this online Black Friday is new to me.

Yes, but this was online. There was no way I was going to buy something else, because they confirmed my sale and THEN sent me an email telling me to call their customer service line who, (after a half hour)THEN tole me it was out of stock and tough titty, said the kitty.

Oh, ok. It was Kohls.  I'm finding those vacuums elsewhere so it's not a big deal, I'll just wait a bit.

Thanks for the info. I'm not sure if my wife shops there or not. The only time I've even been in there was to use them as an entrance to the rest of the mall.

I guess it would be nice to have a little better camera. But In all the years I've had my phone it still has the same battery it came with. Neither my wife or I have ever had to buy a battery.

My black Friday shopping consists of a trip to home depot. They have .99 cent poinsettias that I buy for the ladies in my life. Plus always a few extras to gift out. I almost didn't make it in time this year. About 5 minutes away from being sold out when i got there, half hour after 7am open. Will have to get their earlier next year.

Edit to add, was disappointed they did not have windshield wipers on sale this year, that's usually my yearly stock up. They used to have them cheap on black Friday.
