Yep.
Everything that it is wrong with it is BECAUSE it's illegal.

My take is different. The fact that he has money is the ONLY reason he is in the news, The only thing the man has been charged with is prostitution.
He is not alleged to have known anything at all about the sex trafficking  at the "massage parlor".

In other words if our national news was less like the National Enquirer we would have never heard of this guy.
And that would suit me just fine. Someone explain to me why anyone gives a rats ass about some old guy paying for sex?

You're right, if he was Joe Blow from the corner pub he wouldn't be in the news. The fact he has money is why it's news worthy at all. It illustrates the different justice systems in the world, one for the wealthy and one for the rest. It ain't right but it's what we have.

As for disdaining him... I have no idea who he is.

It illustrates the different justice systems in the world, one for the wealthy and one for the rest.

I don't see where you get that. He was one of many people arrested in a sting operation where they charged them all with soliciting prostitution.
Rich or not they all got the same plea deal he got.
He owns the New England patriots. That's the only reason he's on the news. It's funny how so many on FB want him crucified. In typical FB fashion they just assume he had something to do with sex trafficking.

As far as our Justice system I don't agree it's as simple as "one for the wealthy and one for the rest". I know the rich may be able to afford better attorneys in some cases.
I also think the poor very often get excellent court appointed attorneys.

I read a comment once that I thought described our legal system very well. It was something like...

America has the worst justice system, until you compare it to all the others in the world.

I just meant money buys you a little more justice. Sometimes it's unwarranted.

I agree. I was just venting about all the people who constantly cry about our Justice system. Smiling

My goodness.  I was just replying to the topic of funny headline. I thought "Happy Ending" was a funny headline for a massage story.

But do continue to dissect nothing to the death.

What have you turned in to such a colossal bitching cry baby?

That Kraft guy is current news and that led to other topics like how good is our justice system.

Who the fuck are you to decide we are talking about nothing?

Hopefully the Democrats will push a bill to appeal and replace Obama care with medicare for all.
If they call it Trump care, he won't veto it (his ego won't allow that).

This cracks me up because I spent the morning with my 3 year old grandson today. He is all about Super Heroes and Peppa the Pig videos on the iPad. He pushes the buttons to get into Kids YouTube and then uses the "speak to text" to search for the videos he wants.

These photos were all taken this morning. He would stop to do something else for 2 minutes, then right back to the iPad.[Image: b4c309c2f95305df437fde5b65d5f2f5.jpg][Image: 97e606d3f44fa515e16f05b5a0c45324.jpg][Image: 2d3e5be0a6ee53691609b98c5493c527.jpg][Image: beb73b1e028b3b40f1fa46a3a45874b3.jpg][Image: 836f4facd7490a7e9b74a1841504cb57.jpg]

^ Kids love ipads and phones the same way they love television. It's a natural language and skill they are learning, but it's also kind of passive information giving...I'm definitely an advocate of wise jurisdiction of its use.

On Jan. 5, 2018, the Medford Area Drug and Gang Enforcement task force served a search warrant on Thomas and Hall’s motel room at America’s Best Value Inn in Phoenix, where police found 559 grams of heroin, digital scales, a phone and $16,782 in cash.
