We as a country have lost too much already, and I will be damned if I am going to "go quiet into the goodnight" for the PROGRESSIVE/SOCIALIST element that has permeated the Democratic party. You have SELF proclaimed being "progressive", so that puts you into the fringe FAR left.

OK Larry let me see if I understand this. Wonky is "fringe FAR left" in your opinion because he said he was "progressive".

You decided this because of one word he used to describe himself and NOT from months or years of reading his posts?

WOW!

THE MSM doesn't really show any of the far left or hard left. To do so would potentially endanger the MSM's power position. Some people have never really come into personal contact with anyone who really is a far left or hard left person and they have little understanding of what it means.

Y'all are nuts. Not Ghost Rider ala Nicholas Cage. The Ghost Writer ala Ewan McGregor. Polanski???? Geez!

I'm going to be honest and admit, shamefacedly, I like Ghost Rider.

I know *ducks in shame*

Well, I'm considering taking a walk and going to see it. The Ghost Writer, with Ewan McGregor and Pierce Brosnan, NOT Ghost Rider with Nicholas Cage.

Absolutely not! On Friday evenings I don my smoking jacket and watch Masterpiece Theater.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I've already confessed that one of my favorite movies of all time is Blast From the Past. It has a two star rating, one star too many, and still I watch it three times a year.

Anyone see You Don't Know Jack on HBO? I really liked it. I think Al Pacino did a great job in the Jack Kevorkian role.

Thanks for reminding me....I will download it.

Not bad...I enjoyed it for the most part. Sometimes I felt like it was slanted in favor of Kavorkian, then it would move away a bit. Overall, I liked it.

And, TVG, I'm sure you are right...one of Cage's best ever. (Still think of "Leaving Las Vegas"). All the critics (Rotten Tomatoes) agreed with you.
But, it didn't work for me. I keep thinking this is Cage pretending to be a ....
I've already forgotten most of the story line, did not really care what happened to the Bad Lieutenant, or when. And, wondered why the hell he would take his whore out to his daddy's for safe keeping. I'd think the bad guys would know about daddy sooner than say, ...well almost anyone else.
But maybe it was the mood I was in when I saw it. After all, the pig had just eaten uncle Festus.

Well IMO what he was pretending to be, or acting ? Wink was a person completely strung on drugs and who was totally out of control and had lost all focus. But as it turns out his focus on busting a group of killers was not lost at all.
I thought the way he kept getting in to more and more trouble and when you thought it couldn't get worse it did he always came out on top.

You must be very like me when you see something in a movie that just doesn't fit. Yes of course the mob could have found his fathers house where Cage grew up.

Took the boys to see 'How to Train your Dragon'-- great kids flick, even I enjoyed it. Very clever with a good story and fast animation (we got to see in the Imax 3D too). They boys said it was better then Avatar.
