I've picked 3....lost 3 to something. Lots of green ones, tho. For some reason we could not get green beans to grow. Little tiny plants with a couple beans.
Tons of zukes, of course.
BTW.....nice punkin. We have a volunteer cantaloupe. Melons take up too much room.
We've been getting jalapenos, but they aren't very hot. Still good. My husband pickled a bunch.
My garden is puny this year.
Last year was better. We gave SO many tomatoes away. We gave sacks to UPS drivers, the Post Office and all our neighbors and whoever else we could think of. LOL I still have frozen tomatoes from last year.
Next year I think I'll start the green beans inside. We planted twice. Not sure what the problem is. Green beans usually over produce. Of course we haven't grown them in a long time.
It's still a little early to have tons of tomatoes isn't it? Maybe you'll have still a lot by the end of the month?
Green beans aren't getting a lot of the late afternoon sun. The trees have grown a bit. Damn trees.....jkg. Next year I think we'll try a green bean teepee and get it out in FULL sun.
You're right about the tomatoes, but I think we had an earlier planting season last year. And I believe I may have been a little more generous with the fertilizer. The plants were really huge. Really, we had too many tomatoes. I can't believe I just said that, but it's true.
Yeah I normally have too many tomatoes every single year. They are cheap, easy to grow and it's fun to plant several varieties.
And if you have good soil ( Valuesize) you shouldn't need any fertilizer whatsoever.
But if not by all means use fertilizer recommended by the tomato guy
